The MSW 3rd semester students successfully completed their one-week Rural Camp at Mandalgre, East Garo Hills, marked by meaningful learning, community engagement, and hands-on field experience.

Throughout the camp, students conducted household surveys, awareness programmes, group activities, school visits, and community interactions to understand the village’s socio-economic realities. They also organised children’s activities, focus group discussions, and collaborated closely with the local leaders and community members.

This rural immersion provided students with an enriching opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in real-life rural settings and strengthened their skills in social work practice, teamwork, leadership, and community mobilisation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the village leaders, community members, faculty, and students for their support, cooperation, and active participation. The week-long camp concluded successfully with valuable learnings and unforgettable experiences.
