ஏ.பி.சி. மகாலட்சுமி மகளிர் கல்லூரியில் மேனாள் மாணவியர் சந்திப்பு

ஏ.பி.சி. மகாலட்சுமி மகளிர் கல்லூரியில் ஆண்டுதோறும் ஆகஸ்ட் மாதத்தின் கடைசி சனிக்கிழமை அன்று மேனாள் மாணவியர் தினம் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகின்றது. இந்த ஆண்டு 29.08.2026 அன்று நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வில் கல்லூரியின் அனைத்து துறைகளைச் சார்ந்த முன்னாள் மாணவியர்கள் பலர் ஆர்வத்துடன் கலந்து கொண்டு தங்களது கல்லூரி நினைவுகளையும், கல்வி மற்றும் பணிச்சார் அனுபவங்களையும் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர். பல்வேறு கல்விப் பின்னணி மற்றும் தொழில் துறைகளைச் சார்ந்த முன்னாள் மாணவியர்கள் ஒரே தளத்தில் சந்தித்தது இந்நிகழ்வின் சிறப்பம்சமாக அமைந்தது.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற்ற கலந்துரையாடல் நிகழ்வில், தற்போதைய மாணவியர்கள் முன்னாள் மாணவியர்களுடன் நேரடியாக உரையாடி, உயர்கல்வி, வேலைவாய்ப்பு, போட்டித் தேர்வுகள், தொழில் தொடங்குதல், திறன் மேம்பாடு மற்றும் பல்வேறு தொழில் வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்து பயனுள்ள தகவல்களைப் பெற்றனர். நிறைவுரை முன்னாள் மாணவியர் சங்கம், கல்லூரிக்கும் முன்னாள் மாணவியர்களுக்கும் இடையே ஒரு வலுவான தொடர்பை ஏற்படுத்தி வருகிறது. கல்லூரியின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும், மாணவியர்களின் எதிர்கால முன்னேற்றத்திற்கும் இந்த அமைப்பு சிறப்பாக செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.

🏛️✨ One-Day Online Symposium on Porpanaikkottai Excavation ✨🏛️

The Department of History, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, in association with Nilam – International Journal of Arts and Culture and Pandiyanadu Cultural Foundation, Madurai, organized a One-Day Online Symposium on 27 August 2026 through online mode.

The symposium focused on “The Historical Imprints of Porpanaikkottai Excavation (2021–2022)”, providing an enriching academic platform to explore the archaeological, historical, and cultural significance of the excavation and its contribution to understanding the heritage of Tamil Nadu.

Dr. E. Iniyan, Assistant Professor of Archaeology, School of Social Sciences, Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai, served as the Resource Person and delivered an insightful lecture on the archaeological findings and historical significance of Porpanaikkottai.

The programme was convened by Dr. L. Sangeetha, Head & Assistant Professor of History, with the valuable coordination and support of Dr. C. Chellappandian, Assistant Professor of History, and S. A. Jeyalakshmi, Chairman, Pandiyanadu Cultural Foundation. Dr. K. Palani, Principal, provided his guidance and encouragement.

The symposium enriched participants’ understanding of archaeological excavations, historical evidence, and Tamil Nadu’s cultural heritage, making it a meaningful academic engagement.

The Youth Welfare Association, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, joyfully celebrated the spirit of Onam by organizing a vibrant Athapoo Kolam Competition.

The campus came alive with beautiful floral designs, creativity, colours, and the festive spirit of Onam. The competition provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to showcase their artistic talents, imagination, teamwork, and love for tradition, while celebrating the beautiful values of unity and togetherness.

🤖✨Faculty Development Programme on AI Tools ✨🤖

The Department of Computer Science, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, in association with Pantech Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., is organizing a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI Tools for Education, Research and Industry” from 24 to 28 August 2026, from 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

The FDP focuses on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI in education, academic research, data analysis, industry, and productivity. Participants will explore tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, Perplexity, Elicit, Scite, Google Colab, Power BI, Tableau AI, and other emerging AI platforms through hands-on sessions.

The programme also covers responsible AI, data privacy, AI trends, and a hands-on capstone project, providing participants with practical exposure to AI-driven solutions for teaching, research, and industry.
