International Relations Committee (IRC)

Admix of varied experiences and ideas from across the globe form the crux of transformational learning experiences that are enabled by IRC. The objective of the committee is to foster strong relationships between IIM Udaipur and International Business Schools. The committee helps in actualizing IIM Udaipur’s objective of becoming a global institute. The com

mittee promotes institute’s rich offerings to the international business community, including:
• An open and transparent culture conducive for holistic development of future business managers
• A myriad of opportunities to showcase expertise and to excel in the fields of interests
• To learn from faculties hailing from universities of international repute from across the globe and committed to thought leadership in research
The committee is marching from strength to strength and the number of partner universities, international linkages and the student exchanges is increasing every year. Student Exchange Program (STEP) is the flagship program of IRC. The committee organizes knowledge sessions by past STEPpers (STEP students) to help candidates going on STEP. IRC ensures that the STEPpers have a safe and memorable foreign exchange experience. IRC introduces the incoming Foreign Exchange Students to the rich Indian culture. The committee members not only apprise but accompany them in visiting major tourist attractions in and around Udaipur, India. Ultimately, the objective is in ensuring that their stay at IIM Udaipur is a memorable experience and a stepping stone in their respective careers in the business world. With its own permanent campus slated to start operations from the coming academic year (2015-16), IRC enjoys a unique opportunity as well as responsibility to offer institute’s offerings to the international business community at even greater scale. With the new campus, the student exchange program will see a boost and will become all the more attractive for the international community. IRC is firmly committed to leverage the opportunity to create an institute which is not just nationally but globally inclusive. The committee also provides a platform for networking and building long term relationships with the international business community. IRC is steadfast in its commitment to facilitate a truly global learning experience for the students of IIM Udaipur and all its partner Universities.
