Introduction
The Rajasthan College of Agriculture (RCA) established in 1955 with an objective to impart education in agriculture leading to degree of B.Sc.(Ag.). Since then the college has produced 3088 graduates, 2166 post graduates and 499 Ph.Ds. This college has the distinction of being one of the oldest Agricultural College which has produced internat
ionally reputed scientists and stalwarts like Director General ICAR and Secretary DARE, Chairman ASRB, Chairman CACP, Vice-Chancellor's SAU's, Dy. Director General, National Director NATP and Deans & Directors in SAUs in India and abroad. In agricultural growth witnessed in the State of Rajasthan has been contributed by the human resources developed by this college as majority of officers in department of agriculture and development are the alumni of this college. programmes in the disciplines of Agronomy, Ag. Chemistry & Soil Science, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Extension Education, Molecular Biology & Bio technology Nematology and Horticulture. While the department of Ag. Economics & Management offers new MBA (Agri – Business) Degree. Infrastructure
Morden laboratories with advanced instrumentation provided to all the departments of the college. On-line and offline research literature are available for student in library. The Instructional Farms of the college and other research laboratory have undergone considerable modernization in recent past to provide excellent environment to the students for conducting research
Hostel
There are separate hostels for post-graduate and under-graduate students. Every boys and girls hostel has been provided with common room, hostel library, TV, furniture for visitors room, indoor games room and the courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Tennis, etc. The mess of each hostel is equipped with modern gadgets, utensils and furniture besides refrigerators, water coolers and LPG High pressure cooking gas connections.
