💫 Balancing Technology with Humanity at Solaris 2025 💫

We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Shilpa Gaur Bhargava from JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, who delivered a thought provoking session on the power of human centered growth in shaping India’s future.

She reminded us that while technology continues to transform how we work, it’s our communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence that determine how well we connect, lead, and create impact. Hard skills open doors but soft skills build relationships that last.

Dr. Bhargava urged students to hone their soft skills, embrace emotional awareness, and stay grounded amidst constant digital change. As we move toward India@2047, her message was a clear call to lead with understanding, communicate with compassion, and grow with purpose.

Redefining the Future of Consumption at Solaris 2025

We were thrilled to host Mr. Utkarsh Rathi, Sr. Category Development Manager at ITC Ltd, for an insightful session on how India will consume, communicate, and convert demand on its path to 2047.

Mr. Rathi highlighted that India’s share of global private consumption is set to surge from 9% in 2023 to nearly 16% by 2050 — a wave of opportunity for brands ready to adapt. As consumer journeys become hyper-personalized, he emphasized that effective marketing is no longer about louder voices, but sharper intent and meaningful connection.

He traced the evolution of advertising from single tagline ads of the 90s to today’s multi layered communication powered by content, packaging, storytelling, and AI driven insights. His key message, the marketers of tomorrow must master the art of building trust, driving trials, and creating lasting relationships.

✨ Designing India’s Future at Solaris 2025 ✨

We were honored to welcome Ms. Astha Khetan, Founder of The House of Things, who unpacked design as a vital force behind India’s transformation by 2047.

She emphasized that India@2047 goes beyond just economics, design shapes our cultural identity and global standing. For too long, Indian heritage was celebrated more by foreign brands than by our own creators. Thanks to initiatives like Make in India, this story is changing. With the booming home and décor markets, Ms. Khetan called for stronger design education, brand ownership, and innovation to craft world-class Indian products that stand tall on the global stage.

🌟 Shaping India’s Talent Future at Solaris 2025 🌟

We were honored to host Mr. Roopank Chaudhary, Partner & Country Head – Talent & Rewards at Aon Consulting, for an insightful session on talent’s role in India’s journey toward 2047.

He stressed that HR will be the cornerstone of a Viksit Bharat, guiding us through AI-driven disruption, shifting demographics, skill shortages, and rising attrition. Despite India’s strong workforce, challenges like employability, diversity, and productivity require a focus on human development, inclusivity, and continuous learning.

Today, many organizations operate on a 50:30:20 model — 50% human work, 30% collaboration between humans and machines, and 20% full automation. Mastering how to work alongside AI matters more than AI itself, he shared.

Mr. Chaudhary highlighted four transformative trends shaping work’s future: Workforce Transformation, Technological Disruption, Climate & Sustainability, and Global Trade Shifts. Success will depend on building an agile, skilled, and resilient workforce.

An inspiring highlight from Solaris 2025 ✨

We had the privilege of hosting Ms. Kanika Mendiratta, HR leader at TechFin Org, who shared transformative insights on the evolving role of HR in shaping the future workplace.

She challenged traditional stereotypes from memes about “Rangolis and paperwork” to the misconception that HR isn’t a strategic powerhouse. If the organization is the body, HR is the heartbeat, the people, she emphasized, reminding us that people are the most valuable asset an organization can have.

Ms. Mendiratta highlighted how HR has shifted from policy management to driving culture, strategy, and leadership at the highest levels. She called for closer collaboration between HR and finance because empowered people fuel every business success.

Her session ended with a call to action: Dream, Design, Deliver, creating workplaces rooted in empathy, enablement, and achievement.

We were honoured to host Rajani Sinha, Chief Economist at CareEdge Group, who provided a candid assessment of India’s economic challenges at Solaris 2025.

She highlighted that FDI inflows into India had declined, with net inflows moderating to USD 4.9 billion in Q1 FY26, a 21% year-on-year decrease. In contrast, China had seen an increase in FDI during the same period.

Rajani also pointed out that India’s government debt was projected to gradually decrease over the next decade, but the interest payments on government debt accounted for 25% of government revenue, posing a significant fiscal challenge.

She emphasized that external sector headwinds were likely to persist, urging India to brace for continued global economic pressures.

Her message was clear: to navigate these challenges, India must enhance trade agreements, attract higher FDI, and implement policies that bolster economic resilience.

We were delighted to host Gaura Sengupta, Chief Economist at IDFC FIRST Bank, who delivered a reality check on India’s pathway to 2047.

She pointed out that India must generate 6 million jobs a year and transition a large agricultural workforce into productive sectors. To hit a USD 20,000 per-capita income, India will need sustained 8 %+ growth over two decades, which demands scale, competitiveness and stronger labour participation.

She explained why India cannot replicate China’s playbook: slower global growth, low export share, weak private capex and fragmented MSMEs mark our unique challenge. To avoid the middle-income trap, India must boost productivity, invest in skills & education, deepen manufacturing and build a tech ready workforce supported by efficient policies and finance.
