Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur, established in the year 2003, is being run under the aegis of Bhartiya Educational Trust devoted to the promotion of education (general, technical and professional), training and social welfare according to the new emerging technologies and trends. of J&K and is also recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2f. The college has been envi

sioned as an institution of excellence with main focus on building capacities of the students with holistic development of their personality which is to be achieved through comprehensive education synthesizing in its educational processes professionalism with technological and managerial knowledge in a conducive environment created through good housekeeping, beautiful landscapes, adequate facilities and disciplined life style, besides ensuring professional growth of teachers. The college is housed in a three storeyed building which accommodates 20 spacious classrooms, Audio-visual room, Seminar Hall, Administration block, computer lab, science lab, multipurpose hall, examination hall and a spacious library equipped with more than 5000 books.

Saloni Sharma and Sheetal Devi, NSS volunteers from B.Ed 2nd semester of Bhartiya College of Education, actively participated in a four-day training program conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) Regional Centre, Chandigarh.

The workshop featured interactive, practical activities such as Earthquake Awareness, Paper Tower construction, Uses of a Pen, Human Chain, and Team Crossing. Designed to promote experiential learning, these modules successfully enhanced the volunteers' creativity, problem-solving, communication, self-confidence, team cooperation, and leadership abilities.

In an effort to bridge modern educational technology with teacher training, the second-semester (B.Ed.) students from Bhartiya College of Education conducted an experiential educational visit to the Innovative Center and Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School Nain Soo Udhampur.

The visit aimed to expose future educators to cutting-edge experiential learning methodologies, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) frameworks, and creative problem-solving techniques currently reshaping school education across the nation.Students explored hands-on kits, 3D printers, robotics modules, and electronics workstations designed to spark curiosity in school children.Young innovators at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir demonstrated their prototype models and working science projects developed inside the lab.A briefing session highlighted how prospective teachers can integrate tinkering and design-thinking approaches into standard school curricula.

Proud moment for Bhartiya College of Education..
Mr. Vishab Partap Singh Chambyal alumni of the college began his academic and professional journey at the Bhartiya College of Education session 2020-24 where he completed his B.A.B.Ed.Integrated course and developed a strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching. He later pursued higher education at the Central University of Jammu, where he successfully completed his M.Ed. and developed a strong understanding of Andragogy and research, with his dissertation focusing on the field of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Alongside this, he is also pursuing M.A. in Psychology from IGNOU. During his M.Ed. journey, he remained actively engaged in academic and research activities, presenting 17 research papers at national platforms and 6 at international platforms. He has published 7 research papers in reputed journals and contributed to edited books, while 4 additional research papers have been accepted for publication, including one in a Scopus-indexed journal. He has also gained valuable experience through various research internships and has developed two Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). Continuing his academic journey, he has now been selected for the Master of Arts in Artificial Intelligence in Education (MAAIE) programme associated with NIEPA (NCERT) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. His selection involved a rigorous process comprising a written examination and an expert interactive-cum-interview session, through which he secured the 3rd rank. His academic journey reflects his strong commitment to teaching, research, innovation, and the integration of emerging technologies with education.
