It is with profound sadness that the Department of Computer Applications expresses its heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of our beloved student, Riyanka (Batch of 2026), who left us on 21 July 2026.

Riyanka will always be remembered for her presence, dedication, and the memories she shared with her teachers and classmates. Her passing is a great loss to our college family.

We extend our deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find strength and comfort, and may her soul rest in eternal peace.

Today, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Navneet Singh from Techlive Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for an insightful Expert Talk on “AI-Powered Cyber Threats & Defenses: The New Frontier of Cybersecurity in 2025.” The session highlighted the rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence, the growing role of tools like ChatGPT and Large Language Models, and the shift from Generative AI to Agentic AI, while also emphasizing the increasing importance of cybersecurity in areas such as web applications, networks, databases, IoT, and digital privacy. His talk provided valuable insights into how AI is transforming both cyber threats and defense mechanisms, making the session highly informative and relevant for students in today’s technology-driven world.

राजकीय महाविद्यालय ऊना के MCA और MBA विभाग द्वारा आज 'उन्नत भारत अभियान' (UBA) के तहत शहीद-ए-आजम भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और सुखदेव के बलिदान को याद करते हुए 'शहीद दिवस' का श्रद्धापूर्वक आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर जहां विद्यार्थियों ने देशभक्ति के संकल्प लिए, वहीं पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश देते हुए परिसर में पौधरोपण भी किया गया।
देशभक्ति के साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ शहीदों की प्रतिमाओं पर पुष्प अर्पित कर किया गया। इस गौरवमयी अवसर पर महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या डॉ. मीता शर्मा उप-प्रधानाचार्य प्रो. पुनीत प्रेम कंवर ,MBA समन्वयक डॉ. संजय वर्मा, और MCA समन्वयक डॉ. प्रोमिला देवी ने विशेष रूप से शिरकत की।
शहीदों की स्मृति को चिरस्थायी बनाने के लिए कॉलेज परिसर में विभिन्न औषधीय और छायादार पौधे लगाए गए। डॉ. मीता शर्मा ने कहा कि जिस तरह शहीदों ने अपने रक्त से देश की स्वतंत्रता को सींचा, उसी तरह आज के युवाओं को पौधों को सींचकर प्रकृति और देश के भविष्य को सुरक्षित करना चाहिए।

The Annual Sports Meet MCA & MBA Dept. of Govt. College was successfully organized on 27 February 2026 at the college sports ground. The event brought together students, faculty members, and staff to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition. Students enthusiastically participated in various games including Cricket, Lemon Race, Sack Race, Three-Legged Race, and Tug of War. The ground was filled with energy, excitement, and cheers as participants displayed their talent, determination, and team spirit.

A mock drill on the use of all types of fire extinguishers was conducted on 25 November 2025 for the students of MCA and MBA to create awareness about fire safety and emergency response. During the demonstration, the trainer explained the functioning and purpose of different fire extinguishers, including water, foam, CO₂, and dry chemical powder types, and showed the correct method of operating them using the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep). Students actively observed the live demonstration, learned how to handle the equipment safely, and understood which extinguisher should be used for different classes of fire. The activity helped enhance their confidence, preparedness, and understanding of essential safety practices, making the session both informative and highly beneficial.
