IIIT UNA is one among the 20 IIITs being set up, funded and managed by Ministry of HRD of India. It offers four- year BTech programme in CSE and ECE.

IIIT UNA started functioning under the supervision of NIT-Hamirpur from the year 2014 and admitted 30 students each in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering.

✨ As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva movement, our college successfully organized a Swachhata Sewa drive to reinforce the values of cleanliness, responsibility, and community service.

Students, faculty, and staff actively participated in cleaning the campus and nearby areas, reflecting the importance of sustainable living and civic responsibility 🇮🇳.

Taking forward the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean and self-reliant India, this collective effort reminds us that change begins with us, and even the smallest actions can create the biggest impact. 🌱

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Una (an Institute of National Importance) is pleased to announce a Two-Day Workshop on CBDE Pedagogy with the theme “Innovate, Design, Launch: A Learning Venture for Faculty Entrepreneurs”, scheduled on 11–12 July 2025.

This workshop is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India under Phase 2 of the Capacity Building for Design & Entrepreneurship (CBDE) Project. The event aims to promote innovative learning activities, pedagogy transformation, and design-led thinking to empower faculty as academic entrepreneurs.

The project is being led by Dr. Tanu Wadhera (Principal Investigator), along with Dr. Ankur Kumar and Dr. Naman Garg as Co-Investigators. The workshop is being organized under the guidance of Prof. Manish Gaur, Director, IIIT Una.

Faculty representatives from premier institutions including IIT Jammu, IIM Sirmaur, IIT Ropar, and NIT Hamirpur will also participate in this collaborative initiative.

IIIT Una had the privilege of hosting Dr. G.K. Goswami, Founding Director of Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS), for an insightful expert talk on Cyber Forensics. Dr. Goswami shared his expertise on the critical role of Cyber Forensics in shaping the future of law enforcement and justice through innovative computer applications. His vision of 'Forensic as a Service' (FaaS) sparked exciting discussions on advancing systems for evidence preservation and crime-solving. A great opportunity for our students and faculty to learn from one of the leading experts in the field!

IIIT Una extend a heartfelt congratulation to Professor Manish Gaur, Director of IIIT Una, on the publication of his research paper titled 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗡𝗲𝘁: 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗖𝗖 𝗟𝗦𝗧𝗠 in Q1 journal named 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹. His work presents a novel approach to automated lung sound diagnosis, featuring advanced texture analysis, the integration of multi-classifiers like ICNN and LSTM, and the SUSCC optimization model for improved accuracy.

The event featured energetic performances, a powerful skit by ISKCON Chandigarh on the Shri Bhagwat Geeta, and moving poetry at the Kavi Sammelan.
