Demag Cranes, Germany etc. This Campus is managed by Mariners Educational Trust promoted by serving/retired professionals from Merchant Navy, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and other Marine & Off-shore industrial sectors with a total of over 300 man-years of experience. The syllabus is drawn as per the Marine / Ship Building industry’s current demand. The theory comprises of technical subjects, complimented with practical training at college workshop and advanced on-job training in specified Shipyards.

Industrial visit

BBA Maritime Logistics students made an industrial visit on 15th Nov. They visited MIV CFS and Kosta Logistics at Kochi.

Learned about Marine logistics, warehouse, freight forwarding operations

The day ended with a Trip to the Kochi port channel, vallarpadam container terminal, Vypin Gas tanker jetty, etc.

The visit helped students to learn more about Maritime Logistics

" _The Indian government is likely to approve Rs 25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund (MDF) later this month, aimed at providing long-term, low-cost financial support for indigenous shipbuilding and blue water infrastructure projects, according to a report by Mint_.

_The fund will play a crucial role in advancing India’s maritime sector, aligning with the nation’s Make-in-India initiative aimed at establishing the country as a global manufacturing hub_.

_The MDF is expected to be structured as a corporate entity, with the government holding a minority stake of at least 26 per cent, while the majority shareholding will be offered to multilateral financial institutions and global funds. The fund will provide various forms of financial support, including debt, equity, viability gap funding (VGF), and buyer credit. It will be similar to the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID), but will have a dedicated focus on the maritime sector_ ".
