Ever wondered what it takes to power an entire city using the very concepts you study on campus?
To help connect university learning with real operations, the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) recently organised an industrial visit for Electrical and Electronics Engineering students to the 220 kV Hybrid AIS and GIS Substation in Gotri, Vadodara.
Under the expert guidance of Deputy Engineer Mr A.G. Sodhaparmar and Mr Milan Shah, students explored practical aspects of high-voltage power transmission and substation engineering, including compact gas-insulated switchgear and crucial grid safety controls.
Students gained valuable insights, deepening their understanding of core concepts through practical exposure.
