GSV Concludes Five Day Executive Training Programme for Indian Railway Audit Officers

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) successfully concluded the five day Executive Training Programme on Indian Railway Systems and Operations for Indian Railway Audit Officers, with 26 officers participating.

Prof. Pradeep Kumar Garg, Dean Executive and Continuing Education and Programme Director, highlighted that this was the first programme curated specifically for audit officers. He emphasised the delicate nature of auditing and the importance of understanding the restrictions, duties and responsibilities associated with various functions within the railway system.

He added that the programme was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of railway functioning and operations, with the learning expected to support their routine professional tasks.

The participants shared positive feedback, appreciating the programme’s practical approach and accessible content. They highlighted how the training helped them better understand the nuances of railway systems and operations while enhancing their professional capabilities.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ravikumar K N, Programme Coordinator.

GSV Welcomes Batch 2026–2030 with Induction Programme

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) welcomed the new batch of students pursuing B.Tech. programmes in Electronics and Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Aviation, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Maritime for the academic session 2026–2030, with an induction programme marking the beginning of their university journey.

Prof. (Dr.) Jitesh J Thakkar, Dean Academics, encouraged students to strategically shape their aspirations, make optimal use of GSV’s academic resources and wider ecosystem, and become proud ambassadors of the University. He highlighted the importance of making their four-year journey progressive and contributing meaningfully to nation-building and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Prof. Dr. R. Edwin Raj, Dean Student Welfare, emphasised holistic development, healthy relationships, responsible use of time and active participation in campus life through clubs, sports, counselling and extracurricular activities.

Registrar, Shri Rajeev Kumar urged students to remain motivated and actively participate in university activities while making the most of the supportive administrative ecosystem.

The programme marked the beginning of an enriching journey for the Batch 2026–2030.

GSV Hosts Five-Day Executive Training Programme for Indian Railway Audit Officers

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) commenced a five-day Executive Training Programme on Indian Railway Systems and Operations for 26 Indian Railway Audit Officers, being held from 17–21 August 2026.

The programme offers a broad overview of Indian Railways’ operations and technology, providing officers with a comprehensive understanding of the railway system, its functioning and evolving technological landscape.

Prof. Pradeep Kumar Garg , Dean Executive and Continuing Education and Programme Director, highlighted the importance of financial prudence, accountability, safety, procurement, maintenance and effective checks and balances in the railway system.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, PhD welcomed the officers and emphasised the importance of understanding railway operations, maintenance and technology, along with effective decision-making and passenger-centric services. He highlighted GSV’s role in capacity building across the railway, defence, aviation, maritime and allied sectors.

Dr. Ravikumar K N, Programme Coordinator, provided an overview of the programme and its learning framework.

GSV Hosted Orientation Session on SAP Educate to Employ Programme

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) hosted an Orientation Session for the SAP Educate to Employ (E2E) Programme, a demand-led, digital-first, learn-to-earn pathway supported by SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) and delivered by the Edunet Foundation.

The programme is designed to bridge the digital skills gap by equipping students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with industry-relevant SAP skills, globally recognised certifications, mentoring and career support.

Prof. Dr. R. Edwin Raj, Dean (Students’ Welfare), motivated students to seize this opportunity and commit to it with the right attitude. He highlighted the programme’s role in enhancing students’ employability skills and emphasised that a programme this rigorous and valuable, offered entirely free of cost, deserves to be pursued with sincerity and dedication.

Ms. Devi Sen, Senior Program Manager at Edunet Foundation, walked students through the programme structure, key components, eligibility criteria, and the E2E journey of Recruit, Enable and Place. She also shared the career pathways supported by the programme and testimonials from past learners.

Ms. Rima Patel Trainer at Edunet Foundation, detailed the three learning blocks and the specific skill sets each block is designed to build.

The session was successfully coordinated by Dr. Vipul Kumar Mishra, PhD , Associate Professor and Dr. Preeti Rathi, Assistant Professor.

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Joins Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya proudly participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra organised by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) at Navlakhi Ground, Vadodara.

A spirited contingent of 75 GSV students participated in the Yatra, proudly carrying the Tricolour and celebrating the values of patriotism, national unity and pride in our nation.

The contingent was flagged off by
Dr. R. Edwin Raj, Dean Student Welfare, in the presence of Shri Rajeev Kumar, Registrar and Dr. Ram Krishna Upadhyay, Faculty In-Charge, Sports. The participation of the students was facilitated under the mentorship of Dr. S. Kumaraguru, Assistant Director (Physical Education), GSV.

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) and FedEx signed an MoU at the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI), New Delhi, to strengthen industry–academia collaboration in logistics education and skill development.
