The Department of Commerce and Business Management, Faculty of Commerce, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda successfully organized the Orientation Programme 2026 for students of the PG Diploma Evening Programmes – PGDBM, PGDMM & PGSHRM on 22nd August 2026.
The programme commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by Sr. Prof. Pragnesh Shah, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, who warmly welcomed the newly admitted students and highlighted the unique role of these Executive Diploma Programmes in bridging academic learning with real-world industry requirements.

Prof. Shamal Pradhan, Head of the Department, emphasized the importance of human capabilities in an AI-driven world and highlighted four essential pillars of future readiness: Effective Communication, Adaptability, Collaboration & Accountability.
The programme also featured an insightful expert session on “Beyond the Degree: The Human Skills That Make Professionals Future Ready” by Ms. Sonali Bhagwat, who shared valuable industry perspectives on Emotional Intelligence, professional presence, growth mindset, personal branding, networking and continuous learning.
