राजकीय अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय, वैशाली में मेरा युवा भारत (MY Bharat) एवं राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में “विकसित भारत यंग लीडर्स डायलॉग (VBYLD) क्विज एवं विशेष पॉडकास्ट सत्र” का आयोजन 19 सितंबर 2026 को महाविद्यालय के Multipurpose Hall (MPH) में किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को विकसित भारत @2047 के संकल्प से जोड़ना तथा उनमें नेतृत्व, सामाजिक सेवा, नवाचार एवं राष्ट्र निर्माण की भावना को प्रोत्साहित करना था। कार्यक्रम में NSS National Awardee श्री मंटू कुमार यादव ने विशेष अतिथि वक्ता के रूप में सहभागिता करते हुए “From Service to a Stronger India” विषय पर विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित किया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान MY Bharat की DYO सुश्री स्मृति साहनी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में VBYLD Quiz का संचालन किया गया। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए उन्हें युवा नेतृत्व एवं राष्ट्र निर्माण की दिशा में सक्रिय सहभागिता के लिए प्रेरित किया। इसके पश्चात आयोजित विशेष Podcast Session में विद्यार्थियों ने अपने विचार, अनुभव एवं राष्ट्र निर्माण से संबंधित दृष्टिकोण साझा किए। विशेष रूप से 2026 बैच के सभी विद्यार्थियों की सहभागिता सुनिश्चित की गई।

महाविद्यालय के डीन (अकादमिक), डॉ. गणेश कुमार ठाकुर ने विद्यार्थियों को सेवा, नवाचार एवं नेतृत्व की भावना के साथ राष्ट्र निर्माण में सक्रिय योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

A “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz and Special Podcast Session” was organized at Government Engineering College, Vaishali on 19 September 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall (MPH), under the joint aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) and National Service Scheme (NSS).

The objective of the programme was to connect students with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and to encourage leadership, social service, innovation, and a spirit of nation-building among the youth. NSS National Awardee Shri Montu Kumar Yadav participated as the special guest speaker and inspired the students on the theme “From Service to a Stronger India.”

The VBYLD Quiz was conducted in the gracious presence of MY Bharat DYO Ms. Smriti Sahani, who encouraged the students to actively participate in youth leadership and nation-building initiatives. This was followed by a special Podcast Session, where students enthusiastically shared their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives on nation-building. The participation of all students of the 2026 batch was ensured.

The Dean Academic, Dr. Ganesh Kumar Thakur, encouraged the students to actively contribute to nation-building with a spirit of service, innovation, and leadership.

राजकीय अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय, वैशाली में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) एवं MY Bharat के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz एवं Podcast Session” का आयोजन 19 सितंबर 2026 को बहुउद्देशीय सभागार (MPH) में किया जाएगा।

राजकीय अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय, वैशाली में विद्यार्थियों की रचनात्मकता, तार्किक चिंतन एवं अभिव्यक्ति कौशल को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से “शिक्षा में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) का महत्व” विषय पर निबंध प्रतियोगिता तथा रंगोली निर्माण का आयोजन किया गया।

निबंध प्रतियोगिता का संचालन अंग्रेजी विभाग की डॉ. संगीता सिंह द्वारा किया गया। प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता की बढ़ती भूमिका पर अपने विचार व्यक्त करने तथा उनकी लेखन क्षमता, तार्किक चिंतन एवं रचनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति को प्रोत्साहित करना था।

इस प्रतियोगिता में महाविद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। विद्यार्थियों ने शिक्षा में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के महत्व, इसके संभावित उपयोग तथा शिक्षण-अधिगम प्रक्रिया में इसके योगदान से संबंधित अपने विचार निबंध के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किए।

निबंध प्रतियोगिता के मूल्यांकन के उपरांत प्रथम स्थान आदित्य राज, रोल नंबर 26CE33, ने प्राप्त किया। द्वितीय स्थान रविकांत सिंह, रोल नंबर 26CE25, ने प्राप्त किया। तृतीय स्थान लकी बाबू, रोल नंबर 26ME17, ने प्राप्त किया, जबकि चतुर्थ स्थान सुप्रिया कुमारी, रोल नंबर 26ECE(ACT)48, ने प्राप्त किया।

इसके साथ ही विद्यार्थियों के बीच रंगोली निर्माण का भी आयोजन किया गया। इसमें विद्यार्थियों ने रंगों, डिजाइनों एवं कलात्मक अभिव्यक्ति के माध्यम से अपनी रचनात्मक प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया। विभिन्न आकर्षक एवं संदेशपरक रंगोलियों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने कला, संस्कृति, नवाचार एवं समसामयिक विषयों को रचनात्मक रूप से प्रस्तुत किया। प्रतियोगिता ने विद्यार्थियों में सौंदर्यबोध, टीम भावना, कल्पनाशीलता एवं सृजनात्मक कौशल को बढ़ावा दिया।

Government Engineering College, Vaishali organized an Essay Competition on the topic “Importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education” along with a Rangoli Making Activity with the objective of promoting creativity, logical thinking, communication skills, and artistic expression among students.

The Essay Competition was conducted by Dr. Sangeeta Singh, Department of English. The competition aimed to provide students with an opportunity to express their views on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of education while encouraging their writing skills, critical thinking, and creative expression.

Students of the college participated enthusiastically in the competition. Through their essays, they presented their perspectives on the significance of Artificial Intelligence in education, its potential applications, and its contribution to the teaching-learning process.

After evaluation, Aditya Raj (Roll No. 26CE33) secured the First Position, followed by Ravikant Singh (Roll No. 26CE25) in the Second Position. Lucky Babu (Roll No. 26ME17) secured the Third Position, while Supriya Kumari (Roll No. 26ECE(ACT)48) secured the Fourth Position.

Alongside the essay competition, a Rangoli Making Activity was also organized for the students. The participants showcased their creativity through vibrant colours, innovative designs, and artistic expressions. The attractive and meaningful rangolis reflected themes related to art, culture, innovation, and contemporary issues. The activity encouraged students to develop their aesthetic sense, imagination, teamwork, and creative skills.

On the occasion, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal, Government Engineering College, Vaishali, appreciated the enthusiastic participation and creative efforts of the students. He emphasized that education should not be limited to academic and technical knowledge but should also foster creativity, logical thinking, innovation, communication skills, and overall personality development. राजकीय अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय, वैशाली में स्मार्ट इंडिया हैकाथॉन (SIH) 2026 के अंतर्गत आंतरिक हैकाथॉन का आयोजन 12 सितंबर 2026 को महाविद्यालय के सेमिनार हॉल (तृतीय तल) में किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन SIH 2026 के संशोधित समस्या विवरण एवं निर्धारित थीम के अनुरूप किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ परंपरागत दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ हुआ। महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. आशीष कुमार श्रीवास्तव ने समन्वयकों एवं निर्णायक मंडल के सदस्यों के साथ दीप प्रज्वलित कर कार्यक्रम का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया। दीप प्रज्वलन ज्ञान, नवाचार, रचनात्मकता एवं उत्कृष्टता का प्रतीक रहा।

अपने संबोधन में प्राचार्य डॉ. आशीष कुमार श्रीवास्तव ने विद्यार्थियों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए कहा कि हैकाथॉन केवल एक प्रतियोगिता नहीं, बल्कि वास्तविक जीवन की समस्याओं को समझकर उनके तकनीकी एवं व्यावहारिक समाधान विकसित करने का महत्वपूर्ण अवसर है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को रचनात्मक सोच, टीम भावना, तकनीकी दक्षता, समस्या-समाधान क्षमता एवं नवाचार पर विशेष ध्यान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि विद्यार्थियों के नवीन विचार समाज एवं राष्ट्र की आवश्यकताओं के अनुरूप उपयोगी समाधान में परिवर्तित हो सकते हैं।

SIH 2026 के अंतर्गत कुल 17 थीम एवं 226 समस्या विवरण उपलब्ध थे, जिनमें 172 सॉफ्टवेयर तथा 54 हार्डवेयर आधारित समस्या विवरण शामिल थे। विद्यार्थियों की टीमों ने अपने चयनित विषयों पर नवीन विचार एवं संभावित समाधान प्रस्तुत किए।

कार्यक्रम में तकनीकी प्रस्तुतियों एवं मूल्यांकन के लिए दो सत्रों का आयोजन किया गया। निर्णायक मंडल द्वारा विद्यार्थियों के विचारों, तकनीकी दृष्टिकोण, नवाचार एवं समाधान की व्यवहारिकता का मूल्यांकन किया गया तथा टीमों को आवश्यक सुझाव एवं मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का समापन फीडबैक एवं समापन सत्र के साथ हुआ। इस आंतरिक हैकाथॉन ने विद्यार्थियों में नवाचार, सहयोग, रचनात्मकता, तकनीकी कौशल एवं समस्या-समाधान की भावना को प्रोत्साहित किया तथा उन्हें स्मार्ट इंडिया हैकाथॉन 2026 के आगामी चरणों के लिए तैयार करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
Government Engineering College, Vaishali organized an Internal Hackathon under the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 on 12 September 2026 at the Seminar Hall (3rd Floor) of the college. The event was organized in accordance with the revised problem statements and designated themes of SIH 2026.

The programme commenced with the traditional ceremonial lamp lighting. Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal, GEC Vaishali, along with the coordinators and members of the jury, lighted the lamp and formally inaugurated the event. The ceremony symbolized the spirit of knowledge, innovation, creativity, and excellence.

In his address, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal, GEC Vaishali, encouraged the students and emphasized that a hackathon is not merely a competition but an important opportunity to understand real-world challenges and develop innovative, practical, and technology-driven solutions. He motivated the students to focus on creative thinking, teamwork, technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and innovation. He further highlighted that students’ innovative ideas can be transformed into meaningful solutions addressing the needs of society and the nation.

Under SIH 2026, a total of 17 themes and 226 problem statements were available, comprising 172 Software-based and 54 Hardware-based problem statements. Student teams presented their innovative ideas and proposed solutions based on their selected problem statements.

The event included two technical sessions for presentations and evaluation. The jury members assessed the teams on the basis of their ideas, technical approach, innovation, and feasibility of the proposed solutions, while also providing valuable suggestions and guidance for further improvement.

The programme concluded with a Feedback and Concluding Session. The Internal Hackathon successfully fostered a culture of innovation, collaboration, creativity, technical excellence, and problem-solving among the students and played an important role in preparing them for the upcoming stages of Smart India Hackathon 2026.

महाविद्यालय प्रशासन के अनुसार, ‘बेस्ट टीचर अवॉर्ड 2026’ के लिए शिक्षकों का चयन एक पारदर्शी एवं विस्तृत मूल्यांकन प्रक्रिया के आधार पर किया गया। इस प्रक्रिया में विभिन्न शैक्षणिक एवं प्रशासनिक मानकों पर शिक्षकों के योगदान का आकलन किया गया, जिनमें प्रमुख रूप से शामिल थे—

🔬 Research Excellence Award 2026 was presented to Dr. Ganesh Kumar Thakur, Department of Science & Humanities, for his exceptional research work and contribution in the field of Mathematics.

राजकीय अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय (GEC), वैशाली के लिए यह अत्यंत हर्ष एवं गौरव का विषय है कि महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. आशीष कुमार श्रीवास्तव को उनके अभिनव डिजाइन “IoT-Enabled Smart FSW Head for CNC Milling Machine” के लिए डिज़ाइन पेटेंट प्रदान किया गया है। यह उपलब्धि विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग (DSTTE), बिहार सरकार द्वारा भी सराही एवं प्रचारित की गई है।

यह पेटेंटेड डिजाइन इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स (IoT) तकनीक, फ्रिक्शन स्टिर वेल्डिंग (FSW) तथा CNC मशीनिंग के अभिनव समन्वय को प्रदर्शित करता है। यह उपलब्धि डॉ. श्रीवास्तव के इंजीनियरिंग अनुसंधान, तकनीकी नवाचार एवं शोध के क्षेत्र में उनके निरंतर योगदान को दर्शाती है। उन्होंने IIT धनबाद से मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में Ph.D. की है तथा उनका शोध कार्य फ्रिक्शन स्टिर प्रोसेसिंग, एडिटिव मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, सरफेस कंपोजिट्स एवं संबंधित तकनीकी क्षेत्रों पर केंद्रित रहा है।

It is a matter of immense pride and pleasure for Government Engineering College (GEC), Vaishali that Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal, GEC Vaishali, has been granted a design patent for his innovative design titled “IoT-Enabled Smart FSW Head for CNC Milling Machine.” The achievement has also been highlighted by the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education (DSTTE), Government of Bihar.

The patented design represents an innovative integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology with Friction Stir Welding (FSW) and CNC machining, reflecting Dr. Srivastava’s continued contribution to engineering research and innovation. His academic profile shows a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Dhanbad and research work in friction stir processing, additive manufacturing, surface composites and related areas.
