✨ The IE(I) Electrical Students' Chapter, Department of Electrical Engineering, successfully conducted an Expert Talk on “Condition Monitoring Techniques of Electrical Rotating Machines” on 16th September 2026 (Wednesday).

🌟 The expert talk was organized to provide 3rd & 4th Year Electrical Engineering students with valuable practical insights into condition monitoring of electrical rotating machines and help them understand the importance of machine health monitoring in modern industries.

💫 The session covered fundamentals of condition monitoring, condition monitoring of electrical rotating machines, techniques for detecting machine faults, practical applications, industrial practices, and predictive maintenance. The interaction helped students understand how electrical machine health can be assessed and how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world industrial environments.

👆Glimpses of meeting on 2nd September at BVM Board room for preparing a policy framework and proposal for Alumni mentorship and engagement for the startups initiated in past, current and future at Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya. Mr Ashish Ranadive, Mr. Tushar Deochakke and Dr. Bhavesh Dharmani - Alumni of 1995 BVM graduated batch participated actively. Mr. Manish Kothari, MD, Rhino Machines Ltd. and Professor of Practice, BVM, Dr. Vinay Patel, Principal, Dr. Rashesh Mehta, Dean (III, T&P, Startup and Entrepreneurship), Dr. Darshan Dalwadi, Associate Dean, Dr. Ronak Vashi, SSIP Coordinator, BVM participated. The meeting was a brainstorming session and will definitely lead to further actionable suggestions and reforms at BVM. The startup enthusiasts will get a boost in the support and hand holding from BVM through the strengthening by Alumni friends and mentors. Thanks to all. Let us hope for the best.

Inauguration of TRS Gujarat Chapter

Greetings from Charutar Vidya Mandal’s Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM), Vallabh Vidyanagar!

The Robotics Society of India (TRS) – Gujarat Chapter was inaugurated at BVM Engineering College on 22 August 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the robotics ecosystem in Gujarat.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by:

Addressing the gathering, Er. Bhikhubhai Patel highlighted that the TRS Gujarat Chapter will serve as a collaborative platform for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Automation, fostering research, innovation, knowledge exchange and the development of future-ready engineers.

Dr. Ekta Singla highlighted the journey and initiatives of the Robotics Society of India and shared the vision for future robotics-industry engagements, including a proposed Robotics Industry Conclave.

Dr. Debanik Roy congratulated BVM and appreciated the outstanding performance of its students in robotics, particularly their consistent success in ROBOFEST, while highlighting the importance of research and development in robotics.

The occasion also marked the formal constitution of the TRS Gujarat Chapter leadership team, with Prof. (Dr.) Vinay J. Patel as Chairman and Prof. (Dr.) Mihir Chauhan as Vice Chairman.

The event marked an important step towards strengthening the Robotics, AI and Automation ecosystem in Gujarat through workshops, training programmes, startup initiatives, research collaborations and knowledge exchange.
A new chapter has begun—bringing together academia, research and industry to shape the future of Robotics, AI and Automation in Gujarat!
