काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसम्प्रेषण विभाग के स्वर्ण जयंती के अवसर पर विभाग के पुरातन छात्रों द्वारा नई दिल्ली में आयोजित आज के कार्यक्रम की कुछ तस्वीरें। कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि विभाग के पुरा छात्र एवं वर्तमान में राज्यसभा के उपसभापति श्री हरिवंश जी एवं विशिष्ट अतिथि के तौर पर वर्तमान विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. शिशिर बसु, प्रो. अनुराग दवे मौजूद हैं। इनके अलावा विभाग से निकले वरिष्ठ मीडिया कर्मी राजीव कुमार शुक्ल, उमा त्रिपाठी, शिशिर सिन्हा आदि भी मंचासीन हैं। इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में मौजूद विभाग के पुरातन छात्रों के अलावा भी देश के अन्य हिस्सों से विभाग के पुरातन छात्र कार्यक्रम में सम्मिलित हो रहे हैं।

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Banaras Hindu University is completing fifty years of its establishment this year. Most of you will be aware that to commemorate this of the department, a program is being organized by the BHU Journalism & Mass Communication Alumni Association ( BHUJAA) in New Delhi on 24th September 2022, the foundation day of the department.

An online meet has been organized for the preparations for this event. Rajeev Kumar Shukla will share about details about the event being organized. The details are below mentioned. Please join.

Mr. Tushar Banerjee attended Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, BHU for his MA in Mass Communication (MAMC 2007-09 Batch). Prior to this he Graduated in Commerce from Faculty of Commerce, BHU.

He started as an Associate Producer in 2009 for Devotional Content and later News Content for some TV Media and Wire Services in Delhi NCR before joining NDTV in 2010 as a Sub-Editor for its Mobile App and partner platforms. From 2011 to 2014 he worked at BBC World Service Delhi Bureau Team serving various roles ranging from Multimedia Content Producer, Digital Strategist to Reporting and Curating stories of Technology, Internet, Business and Politics while serving as Correspondent - Science & Technology for BBC News India.

In 2014 he joined the newly founded Indian General News and Opinion Website - The Quint in its nascent stage as a Senior Multimedia Producer (building it from scratch) and served there until 2019 as Head of Product. He also had a short stint with NDTV Convergence Limited as Head - Audience Growth & New Initiatives.

Currently, Mr. Banerjee is Head - Digital Content Strategy at ABP News. As a Digital News Products Professional, he has expertise in Online Content, Social Media Campaigns, Product Development, Monetisation, Audience Engagement, Retention Strategies and Video Products.

Ms. Medha Gupta attended Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, BHU for her MA in Mass Communication (MAMC 2006-08) topping her class. Prior to this she Graduated from University of Delhi in English (Honours).

Starting out as a Copy Editor for The Times of India, Chandigarh in 2008 and later as Senior Correspondent for Indian Petro Group, she turned to Book Publishing in 2013, joining Penguin Random House-owned Dorling Kindersley India Group as an Editor where she had a stint of more than five years.

At present, Ms. Gupta works as an Associate Editor at HarperCollins India Publishers, where she scouts for talent and commissions children's authors for fiction/non-fiction.

Giving words to ideas, stories and thoughts she is one of the most seasoned professionals in Book Publishing Industry as part of the DJMC, BHU Alumni.
