CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS
Azim Premji Foundation is launching a Research Grant programme designed to promote inquiry into areas that are of particular interest to the Foundation.
We seek to fund research in three linked, but distinct areas:
• Education and Allied Areas
• Law and Governance
• Development and Sustainability.
While we are open to any broad consideration within the area, the research should be empirically grounded, and be able to inform practice and policy.
The duration of projects can range from 1 to 3 years, and the size of the research grants from Rs.5 to 20 lakhs. Interested applicants should submit the following:
• CV for all investigators
• Short concept note of not more than 3 pages
• Rough budget
• Anticipated timeline
The concept note should indicate need for the study, highlight its significance, clearly identify the research objectives/questions, and outline the methodology to be employed. If the concept note is selected, the applicant will be asked to submit a detailed proposal for a second round including detailed budgetary requirements and dissemination plans. Applicants should read the terms of reference for each area before applying.
Applicants should have demonstrated competency and qualifications to undertake research in the proposed area. Grants will be awarded primarily to individuals or teams affiliated with academic institutions, think tanks, NGOs and other centres of vital research both in India and elsewhere.
Applications should be sent to [email protected]. Subject should mention the subtheme (Education and Allied Areas; Development and Sustainability; Law and Governance). Proposals that are outside the scope of the specific areas of research will not be considered further.
