The Training and Placement Cell, IIT (BHU), is delighted at the success of the placement session 2021-2022.

It has been yet another incremental year in terms of the Placement statistics. Our students have striven to grab the best job opportunities in the sectors like Software Development, Data Analytics, Consulting, Management, Education, Core Engineering and Technology, Financial Services, IT and RnD.

The campus saw an increase of 52% in the number of recruiters since 2019. The roles offered also grew by 24%. Students worked harder to grab even more Pre-Placement offers and showed a 27% jump. There were a total of 33 international offers made. And the highest package marked a number of 2.15Cr per annum.

The cell expresses gratitude to all the participating recruiters and conveys best wishes to all the students to make further progress and excel in their careers.

Represented below are some metrics and how they have changed over the years.

IIT (BHU) Varanasi concluded the first phase of Campus Placement Drive for the 2020 Batch with a total of 970 offers, including PPOs, as compared to 877 total offers last year. In total, 11 students received International offers during the first phase, the figure increasing three-fold as compared to last year. A total of 450 offers were recorded by the end of Day 2 itself, as compared to a figure of 376 in the previous year.

The first phase lasted till 14th December, with the participation of a total 167 Public and Private firms in all sectors including Software, Consultancy, Finance, Core, Analytics etc. In addition to the soaring placement offers, as many as 44 firms have offered 177 PPOs to the students this year as compared to 150 PPOs last year. Out of 797 in total, 555 students in B.Tech. and 242 students in IDD and M.Tech got placed out of the total 1284 students registered, both the figures booming as compared to the previous year. MasterCard, EXL, Standard Chartered, Microsoft, ICICI and Oracle emerged as top recruiters this year.

The Cell also takes pride in the Internship session of the odd semester with a total of 347 offers, as compared to 246 offers in the previous year, raising the bar by 41%.

With the support of students and administration, TPC hopes to raise the bar in the second phase of the placement season as well.

IIT(BHU) Varanasi wrapped up with a total of 695 offers(including PPOs) received in the first phase of Campus Placement Drive for the 2018 batch.

With a total of 127 firms participating in this phase which lasted till 23th Dec, offers came in from both Public and Private firms in all sectors including IT, Consultancy, Finance, Core, etc. In addition to the soaring placement offers, as many as 108 PPOs have also been received by students of IIT(BHU) Varanasi this year as against 81 last year. Out of the total 1058 students registered, 443 students pursuing B.Tech got placed, while 156 IDD/IMD & M.Tech students got placed, both the figures rising high as compared to previous year. Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Microsoft, Reliance, Vedanta and Wipro emerged as top recruiters this year.
