IIT (BHU), Varanasi has collaborated with Vertiv India to launch the Undergraduate Research Avenue (UGRA) within the Department of Electronics Engineering. This major initiative focuses on fostering hands-on research and practical innovation among our undergraduate engineering students.

To support India's growing semiconductor ambitions, UGRA aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Through this collaboration, we are establishing the Advanced Hardware Innovation Lab. This new facility will provide our students with early access to advanced infrastructure, enabling them to gain practical expertise in the complete chip design lifecycle, including design validation, prototyping, and silicon testing.

As highlighted by Director Prof. Amit Patra and Dean of Alumni and Resources Prof. Hiralal Parmanik, this collaboration is a vital step in nurturing a strong pipeline of industry-ready talent. By moving beyond classroom simulations into real-world hardware development, we are empowering our students to contribute meaningfully to national technological advancements.
