ASHOKA institute of technology and management (Ashoka) came into existence on February 22, 2010 located at heart of the holy city Varanasi at the distance of 3.5 km from the Varanasi Cantt Railway Station and is also near to the place of enlightenment of Lord Buddha, Sarnath (Rishipattan) at the distance of 1.5 km. ๐Ÿš€ UP-SEEDS 2026 Begins at AITM | Empowering Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Ashoka Institute of Technology & Management (AITM), Varanasi, hosted the inaugural session of UP-SEEDS 2026 โ€“ Uttar Pradesh Eastern Region Startup Ecosystem & Entrepreneurship Development Summit, a two-day summit aimed at strengthening the startup, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The keynote address was delivered virtually by Prof. J.P. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, AKTU, Lucknow, who emphasized that innovation and startups can play a vital role in India's journey towards becoming a global leader. He highlighted the growing contribution of young entrepreneurs and startups to the global economy.

Dr. Tarun Agrawal, Director & Board Member, RBI, Mumbai, spoke about the emerging opportunities in startups focused on weather and climate change, emphasizing the importance of identifying future challenges and developing innovative solutions.

Mr. Keshav Jalan, Chairman, Jalan Group, encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to focus on creative thinking, innovation and new ideas, highlighting that entrepreneurship is driven by ideas and determination.

๐ŸŽฏ *GATE Preparation & Career Guidance Session at AITM*

Ashoka Institute of Technology & Management (AITM), Varanasi, organized a special lecture on *โ€œGATE Preparation, Strategy & Career Prospectsโ€* jointly by the *Counselling & Career Guidance Cell* and *IEEE Student Chapter*.

The session was led by *Prof. Md. Zaheer Khan, IIT (BHU), who guided students on effective GATE preparation through conceptual clarity, regular practice, disciplined study and time management. He highlighted how a GATE score can open opportunities for higher education at premier institutes as well as career opportunities in various **PSUs*.

*Dr. Naveen Yala, IIT (BHU)*, also interacted with students and addressed their queries related to GATE preparation and career planning.

The programme commenced with the traditional *lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Maa Saraswati. Director **Dr. Sarika Singh* delivered the welcome address and set the context for the session. The guests were felicitated with mementos and saplings.
