A brief introduction:
Foundation

• Jamia-e-Imania was established as a educational, cultural, non-profit and charitable religious institution by a visionary famous land lord Late Maulavi Khursheed Ali Khan on the proposal of Late Maulana Qaazi Syed Bande Ali Khan (Qaazi-ul-Quzaat / Islamic Chief Justice) in the city of Banaras and the construction work of it's premises was complet
ed under his supervision in 1870/1287(A.H.) Goals of establishment

• Higher religious education and missionary activities.
• Disseminating the knowledge and the wisdom of our last Prophet (pbuh&hp) and Twelve Imam’s (a.s.)
• Protecting the pure Mohammadan Islam and the real teachings of holy Qur’an and Ahl-ul-Bayt (a.s.) Academic level

• An eight (8) years course of instruction leading to the
title of "SHAMS-UL-AFAZIL". Achievements

• A very significant role in the propagation and survival of Ithna Asheri school of thought, through education, training and production of a large number of Ulamas, professors, authors, preachers and Khateebs, who served the community through out the period of one and half century across the world. Financial status

• All financial needs was fulfilled through the income of it’s endowed lands and properties, but unfortunately it lost all of that lands after the independence of the sub-continent as a setback of incompetent management and poor execution.
• Currently there are few shops as a permanent source of income which is absolutely insufficient to run all it’s programs so it needs now to public donations and religious dues (Ruqoom-e-Shar’eiyyah) as well. Future programs

• Establishment of a cultural-educational center comprising a library, reading room and a translation section equipped with preaching facilities.
• Computer literacy and orientation programs.
• Publication of a monthly educational magazine/ newsletter.
• Construction of a commercial complex to provide a permanent income to resolve the financial problems. Immediate need

• Completion of the remaining two steps of the planned construction which includes the renovation of it’s old Mosque and construction of the second floor on the main building of school and class rooms,

• Donate in building fund which is most needed at the time to complete the remaining construction works.
