“Fascism is a religion. The twentieth century will be known in history as the century of Fascism.”

~ Benito Mussolini

Fascism is a complex ideology that has existed since World War I. It is a concept that could be interpreted in multiple ways. One can identify some of the tenets and ideologies of fascism, in what scenarios fascism emerges and why people buy into this ideology, and finally, the history of fascism and its impact on the world.

In this post, we analyse the evolution of the concept of fascism across time.

John Adams, America’s second president, famously said, “Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”

But, he was wrong.
Democracy was the great victor of the ideological clashes of the 20th century. But if democracy is to remain as successful in the 21st century as it was in the 20th, it must be both assiduously nurtured when it is young—and carefully maintained when it is mature. In this post, we analyse the growth of democracy over the years.

Warfare has been existent as long as human civilization has, be it over economic, religious or political reasons. From sharpened stone spears, to the advent of gunpowder to a global defense budget exceeding 1.9 trillion dollars, it is pretty evident how much war has shaped our civilization, and possibly will continue to do so for generations to come. This post aims to look at the evolution of war tactics, personnel and arms over the course of history by analyzing two eras of warfare.
