Department of computer science and engineering has organized parents meeting on Saturday, 29th June 2019 in EEE Department Seminar Hall at 10.a.m. Approximately 80 parents were present for the meet and were eager to know about the department activities. On the occasion, a department activities presentation was delivered by K. Lokeshwaran, Associate Professor. The presentation highlighted the different co-curricular and extracurricular activities carried out by the department throughout the year, the placements status of the current and the last year batch, the result of the students from the second year, third year and final year students.
Some of the queries raised by parents were

The queries were resolved or answered to the satisfaction level of Parents by Dr. S. Sheik Faritha Begum, HOD and Dr. A. Rajesh, Principal.
A Special Appreciation was given to the Institute facilities and department faculty members for taking efforts for the progress of the ward and make the ward a more disciplined and responsible person.

The Alumni Meet – ’19 has been organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 27th April 2019 at Computer Science and Engineering Department Meeting Hall.

Around 15 Alumni has participated in the event and most of them from the reputed IT organization such as ZOHO, PDI Software, Thapovan Info Systems, and AMAZON, etc.

From 2015 to 2017 Batch has been participated in the Alumni Meet-’19.

An interactive session has been conducted by Dr.S.Sheik Faritha Begum, HOD and Mr.P.Nandakumar, AP/CSE for the improvement of the Placement related activities.

Through this session, we extracted some of the valuable ideas, suggestions from the Alumni.

Main Ideas discussed and shared:
• Latest Emerging Technology must be known to students. Ex: Python, Blockchain.
• Importance should be given more to Core knowledge. Ex: JAVA, C++/C(Any 1 Programming Language)
• Expertise from IT sectors should conduct Seminars and Guest Lectures on recent trends and technologies.
• Daily challenges have to be set to students in order to improve the self-confidence. Ex: Mock Interview Test.

Some of the Alumni are willing to take a seminar on recent trends in Information Technology Field and Career Guidance Awareness Programme for their juniors.

Alumni shared their college day’s lovely memories and overall it has been a fun-filled and informative Alumni Meet.

Head of the Department Dr.S.Sheik Faritha Begum, Department Alumni Coordinators Mr.P.Nandakumar, Mr.T.Balaji and all the Faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering have joined the Alumni Meet-’19.
