ಕುವೆಂಪು ಭಾಷಾ ಭಾರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಿ. ಎಲ್. ಡಿ. ಇ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಎಸ್. ಬಿ. ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆ. ಸಿ. ಪಿ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ, IQAC, ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾಷಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 6 ಮತ್ತು 7ರಂದು ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಓದು ಕಮ್ಮಟವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಭಾಷಾ ಭಾರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ 50 ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎ. ಟಿ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಅವರು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಎಸ್. ಎ. ಪಾಟೀಲ, ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ಉಷಾದೇವಿ ಹಿರೇಮಠ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

The Department of English, S. B. Arts and K. C. P. Science College, Vijayapur, under the IQAC initiative, organised a guest lecture on “From Postcolonialism to Postcoloniality: A Critical Reading of Indian Literature” on 26 September 2026.

The programme was graced by Dr. A. T. Srinivas, Principal of the College, and Dr. P. S. Patil, IQAC Coordinator,
Dr. Anil Naik, Department of Physics,Prof. Vidya Patil, PG Coordinator,English and Smt. Prabhavati Talwar, Head of the Department of English (U.G.) were present on the Dias.

The resource person for the programme was Dr. Prakash Balikai, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Assistant Director, Centre for English Language Teaching, School of Humanities and Languages, Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi.

Dr. Prakash Balikai delivered an insightful lecture on the transition from postcolonialism to postcoloniality, exploring the representation of nation, language, memory, identity, cultural authority, marginality and resistance in Indian literature. His lecture encouraged students to critically engage with colonial legacies and contemporary literary and cultural questions.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 120 students and 12 staff members. The academic interaction with the resource person provided students with valuable insights into postcolonial literary studies and contemporary approaches to Indian literature.

The programme concluded on a positive note, with the lecture enriching the academic environment and encouraging meaningful engagement with contemporary literary and cultural concerns.

ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಕೆಡೆಟ್ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಒಂದು ಗಿಡ ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಅದನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು 36 ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಬೆಟಾಲಿಯನ್ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಕಮಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ಆಫೀಸರ್ ಕರ್ನಲ್ ಬಿ.ಕೆ.ಕೆ. ವಂಶಿ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ವಿಜಯಪುರದ ಎ.ಎಸ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿ.ಎಲ್.ಡಿ.ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಎಸ್.ಬಿ. ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆ.ಸಿ.ಪಿ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಎ.ಎಸ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಘಟಕಗಳು, 36 ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಬೆಟಾಲಿಯನ್ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ‘ಏಕ್ ಪೇಡ್ ಮಾ ಕೆ ನಾಮ್’ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ಒನ್ ಕೆಡೆಟ್ ಒನ್ ಟ್ರೀ’ ಸಸಿ ನೆಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

‘ಒನ್ ಕೆಡೆಟ್ ಒನ್ ಟ್ರೀ’ ಅಭಿಯಾನವು ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡೆಟ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ವಿವಿಧ ತರಬೇತಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಕೆಡೆಟ್‌ಗಳು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಲ್ ವಂಶಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡೆಟ್‌ಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ನೀರುಣಿಸಿದರು. ಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸಾರಿತು.

Today, Shri. D. B. Attar, Assistant State Organising Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides, District Association, Vijayapur, visited our college to inspect the Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Gangadhar Agsar, NSS District Co-ordinator, Vijayapura. In his address, he highlighted the significance of the National Service Scheme and encouraged students to actively participate in social service activities and contribute to the welfare of society.

As part of the celebration, the “Ek Mutthi Anaj Campaign” was inaugurated on this occasion; it will be continued for one week, later it will be donated to the needful. “Ek Mutthi Anaj Campaign” is one the Best Practice of our College. NSS volunteers, students and staff were encouraged to contribute food grains to support the needy and promote the values of sharing, compassion and social responsibility. *B.L.D.E. Association’s S. B. Arts and K. C. P. Science College, Vijayapur under IQAC Initiative YRC and NSS Unit-I and Unit-II organised Voluntary Blood Donation Camp*

A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was jointly organized by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) and NSS Units of B.L.D.E. Association’s S. B. Arts and K. C. P. Science College, Vijayapur, in association with Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Vijayapur. The camp was held on 18.09.2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zoology Lab of the college.

The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging students and staff to contribute towards saving lives. The camp received an encouraging response from the college community.

A significant number of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff voluntarily came forward and donated blood. Their participation reflected a strong sense of social responsibility, humanitarian concern, and commitment to community welfare. The medical team from Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre carried out the blood collection process following the necessary medical procedures and precautions.

The camp was conducted under the guidance and coordination of Dr. A. T. Shrinivas, Principal Dr. P. S. Patil, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Anil Naik and Dr. S. A. Patil, Dr. Anil R. Patil, Chairman, YRC; Mr. Milan Rathod, NSS-I Programme Officer Dr. Tarannum Jabeen, NSS-II Programme Officer and other Faculty members from various Departments.

The blood donation camp successfully promoted the message “Donate Blood, Save Lives” among students and staff. The active participation of the college community made the programme meaningful and contributed to the noble cause of helping patients in need of blood.
