🚧 Field Visit – Practical Exposure to Railway Infrastructure 🚧
The 3/4 B.Tech Civil Engineering students had an insightful field visit to an Open Web Steel Girder Bridge (Rail Over Rail) under the proposed bypass railway line between Rayanapadu and Mustabada.
This visit provided students with valuable on-site exposure to:
✔️ Structural behavior of open web steel girders
✔️ Er****on techniques and connections in railway bridges
✔️ Safety practices and construction challenges in Rail Over Rail (ROR) systems
✔️ Real-time understanding of bridge components and load transfer mechanisms
Such field experiences play a crucial role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enhancing students’ understanding of modern railway infrastructure.
