Andhra University’s Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law recently hosted a vibrant 'Freshers' Day' to welcome its newest undergraduate and postgraduate law cohorts.

We were honored to have prominent advocate and AU Executive Council Member Sri Chimalapati Sekhar grace the occasion as chief guest. In his inspiring address, he reminded students that the study of law is a steadfast commitment to equality, human values, and constitutional duties, urging them to champion morality and social welfare in their legal careers.

College Principal Prof. K. Seetha Manikyam presided over the event, encouraging students to draw inspiration from AU's legacy of eminent legal luminaries and balance rigorous academics with practical exposure through moot courts and legal aid camps.

Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. G.P. Rajasekhar officially unveiled the poster for 'ACCESS - 2K26', a national-level student symposium organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Andhra University.

Commemorating the 165th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya and the 59th Engineers' Day, the civil engineering symposium is scheduled to be held from September 15th to 17th. As part of the event, competitions including paper presentations, model making, technical quizzes, JAM (Just a Minute), and treasure hunts will be organized.

The organizers stated that this symposium will greatly help create awareness among students about the latest technological advancements and research in the field of civil engineering. Winners will be awarded prizes and certificates of merit, and accommodation facilities will be provided for students coming from other places.

The event was attended by Civil Engineering Department Head Prof. C.N.V. Satyanarayana Reddy, faculty coordinators Prof. I. Siva Parvathi, Prof. K. Rajasekhar, and student coordinators.

Andhra University witnessed immense excitement on August 20 as the iconic RB14 Formula 1 Racing Car was showcased on campus, organized under the auspices of the AU United Student Club.

The expo, held at the Andhra University Basketball Court, drew enthusiastic participation from students across departments who experienced the engineering marvel up close and learned about the cutting-edge technology and aerodynamics driving modern motorsport.

Students from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Andhra University visited the Legislative Assembly sessions today, following an invitation from the Hon'ble Speaker of the Assembly, Shri Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, under the guidance of Department Head Prof. Peteti Premanandam.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Peteti Premanandam stated that while state politics and legislative assemblies are typically taught as academic subjects in political science and public administration, this program was organized to provide students with practical, experiential learning. He expressed gratitude for the support of AU Vice-Chancellor Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar, Registrar Prof. K. Rambabu, Rector Prof. Pulipati King, and Arts College Principal Prof. Jalada Ravi in making the program a success.

During the visit, the students observed the assembly proceedings for about 35 minutes, gaining a unique experience. As part of the program, Department Head Prof. Peteti Premanandam felicitated the Hon'ble Speaker, Shri Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu. Prof. Premanandam noted that Visakhapatnam South Constituency MLA Vamsi Krishna Srinivas Yadav and Shri Somu Veerraju expressed their happiness regarding the organization of such a beneficial educational program for the students.
