LimmalaSatyaSuman, a final-year student of the Department of Fine Arts, AU, pursuing his specialization in painting, has departed from the earth on 2nd October 2012. In loving memory of him, the department is organizing an exhibition of his sketches, drawings, paintings, sculptures and prints. SatyaSuman was a hard-working and dedicated student, and had specific plans for his future career.He had plans to do MFA in a reputed institution after completing his BFA in our department. He used to work in the department till late in the night, and produced remarkable works, both in quantity and quality. Though we mourn for his absence, he remains a part of our hearts as a humble, honest and loving person.SatyaSuman, born on 22nd August 1982, had completed his primary studies in his village, Baleru, near Kotturu, in BhaminiMandal, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. After completing his graduation, he worked for a few years as a teacher in a tribal school, and joined our department in 2009. He left behind his parents, a sister, and cousins, besides the entire family of the Department of Fine Arts, AU. Half the money collected from the sale of his workswill be given to his grieving parents, and the remaining half will be kept as a fund to give an annual scholarship to a painting student in Satya’s name.
