Dr.Shekhar Seshadri, Senior Professor Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Former Director of NIMHANS and associated with Azim Premji Foundation, delivered a powerful session on “Parenting in a Digital World”, organized by the Women Empowerment Cell in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research GITAM Deemed University Visakhapatnam.Excessive screen time (Preschool: 90 mins; 7–12 years: 2–4 hrs) must be balanced with music, nature, volunteering, and meaningful conversations.Key takeaways included creating memory anchors, fostering a culture of dialogue, using affirming language instead of emotional abuse, and understanding that coercive control is a severe form of harm. Raising conscientious children begins with re-establishing healthy adult relationships.

The virtual MBA Engagement Webinar for prospective MBA applicants for the 2026-28 batch was successfully organised this evening, offering valuable insights into what defines a future-ready MBA. The session was led by Dr Raja P Pappu. Dean GITAM School of Business GITAM Deemed University, on the topic MBA ENGAGEMENT WEBINAR: ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE REDEFINED. The webinar highlighted that an MBA is no longer about mastering a single function, but about developing cross-functional capabilities, problem-solving, effective communication, data awareness, and strong business acumen. Participants learned how marketing integrates analytics, finance collaborates with product teams, and engineers transition into strategy and operations.
GSB’s experiential approach was showcased through international immersion in Vietnam and social immersion in Paralakhemundi, Odisha, emphasizing industry readiness and social awareness. The session reinforced that an MBA is about leadership, networking, discipline, and accelerated career growth.

With over 25 years of rich experience across the technology and retail sectors, Sarath has built an impressive leadership journey spanning renowned organizations such as Quikr, Microsoft, Nokia, and Coca-Cola.Now working as CEO of its drone business, NeoSky India, owned by RattanIndia Enterprises, a wholly-owned subsidiary driving innovation in the UAV ecosystem. Under his leadership, NeoSky India is developing a comprehensive 360-degree drone solutions platform encompassing Drone as a Product (DAAP), Drone as a Service (DAAS), and Software as a Service (SAAS), catering to both consumer and industry applications.

The session for Delhi Public School and River Dale School students from Chhattisgarh focused on intelligence and passion alone are not enough unless they are used effectively. Students explored how the right application of their abilities, whether in a future job or in business, can help them reach greater heights. When passion is combined with clarity, discipline, and consistent action, it transforms potential into performance. Such individuals don’t just follow paths; they create them. History is shaped by those who produce value, take initiative, and think beyond limits. The session encouraged students to utilize their resources wisely and strive to become future history makers.
