🇮🇳 National Seminar on ‘The Legacy of Shaheed Baji Rout’ at CTUAP 🇮🇳

The Department of Sociology at Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh organised a National Seminar on ‘The Legacy of Shaheed Baji Rout’ on 1 October 2026.

The seminar commemorated the remarkable courage, patriotism and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Baji Rout, while reflecting on the significant contributions of youth and tribal communities to India’s freedom movement.

The programme was graced by Prof. T. Srinivasan, In-charge Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bibhuti Prasad Nayak, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad, Prof. Basant Kumar Panda, Former Director, Classical Language Center, Odisha Chapter, also Executive Council Member, CTUAP, Prof. Jitendra Mohan Mishra, In-charge Registrar, and Dr. Sankar Reddy Kolle, University Librarian; Dr. Suresh Babu, Controller of Examinations; and Deans, Heads, faculty members and students joined.

The seminar provided an important platform for academic reflection on Baji Rout’s legacy, the freedom struggle, youth participation, and the role of tribal communities in India’s national movement.

The programme served as a meaningful reminder of the courage and commitment of young freedom fighters and the enduring legacy of those who contributed to India’s journey towards independence.

🇮🇳 Photo Exhibition on the Life and Legacy of Shaheed Baji Rout 🇮🇳

The Department of Sociology, Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh, organised a photo exhibition highlighting the life, struggle, courage and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Baji Rout on the occasion of the National Seminar on ‘The Legacy of Shaheed Baji Rout’ held on 1 October 2026.

The exhibition showcased photographs and visual narratives reflecting the inspiring journey of Shaheed Baji Rout, his remarkable contribution to India’s freedom movement, and the spirit of courage and patriotism that continues to inspire generations.

The exhibition provided students, faculty members and visitors an opportunity to learn about and reflect upon the sacrifices of young freedom fighters and the important role of Odisha and its people in India’s struggle for independence.

Through this initiative, CTUAP paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Shaheed Baji Rout, whose courage and sacrifice remain a source of inspiration for the nation.

Rajasthan Journalists’ Delegation Visits Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh

A delegation of journalists from Rajasthan visited the Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh on 28 September 2026 as part of a nationwide media tour organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. During the visit, the delegation interacted with Vice-Chancellor Prof. T. Srinivasan, Registrar Prof. Jitendra Mohan Mishra, Finance Officer Prof. M. Saratchandra Babu, Heads of Departments, and faculty members of the University.

The interaction highlighted CTUAP’s academic programmes, research initiatives, commitment to tribal education, student development activities, and sustained efforts towards the preservation and promotion of indigenous culture, knowledge, and heritage.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the University’s growing contributions to higher education, research, tribal empowerment, and inclusive development, while also facilitating meaningful interaction between the academic community and media representatives from Rajasthan.

� CTUAP Celebrates 8th Foundation Day 🎉

The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh proudly celebrated its 8th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit.

The celebration was graced by Padma Shri Chintalapati Venkatapathi Raju, Master Craftsman of Etikoppaka Wooden Toys, Andhra Pradesh, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, as the Guest of Honour.

The programme was presided over by Prof. T. Srinivasan, Vice Chancellor (I/c), CTUAP, who highlighted the University's commitment to excellence in higher education, research, and the empowerment of tribal communities.

The event brought together faculty members, officers, staff, students, and distinguished guests to celebrate eight years of the University's remarkable journey and achievements. The occasion reflected CTUAP's continued dedication to quality education, innovation, inclusivity, and nation-building.
