دانشکده فنی مهندسی ثامن الحجج مشهد پس از صدور مجوز تاسیس آموزشکده توسط شورای گسترش آموزش عالی وزارت متبوع این مرکز کار خود را از مهر ماه ۱۳۷۵ با ۳۱۳ دانشجو در چهار رشته کاردانی شروع نمود و از سال ۱۳۸۷ با حضور ۳۰۰۰ دانشجو در ۱۰ رشته کاردانی و کارشناسی در دوره‌های روزانه و شبانه در محل جدید خود (الهیه) با فضای ۸ هکتار به کار خود ادامه داد.
