Dear friends and students,

We want to invite you to practice Icelandic with us and improve your speaking and listening skills.

Next week, Tuesday 29 June and Thursday 1st July kl. 13-15 in Setberg (room 305).

And the second week of July we are meeting in Hotel Saga (School of Education) room S-108 to practice Icelandic through forum theatre, where we will explore different situations and practice how to respond and speak in public.
Tuesday 7th , Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th of July kl. 13-16

Í dag er uppskeruhátíð Háskóla Íslands og brautskrást frá skólanum hvorki meira né minna en 2.639 stúdentar af grunn- og framhaldsstigi. 🥳 Meðal þessa fjölda eru 213 nemendur sem ljúka nú prófgráðu frá námsbraut íslensku sem annars máls.

Frá námsbrautinni brautskrást 23 með BA-gráðu og 190 með diplómapróf, þar af 12 sem ljúka Íslenskustoð og 178 sem ljúka hagnýtu námi. 🙌

Við erum gríðarlega stolt af okkar frábæra nemendahópi og óskum þeim innilega til hamingju með daginn! Gangi ykkur vel í hverju sem þið takið ykkur næst fyrir hendur. 🥰

Frábærar fréttir!

Miðstöð um íslenskupróf hefur verið komið á fót við Hugvísindasvið Háskóla Íslands. Miðstöðin hefur það hlutverk að veita innflytjendum aukið tækifæri til að sýna fram á færni sína í íslensku með áreiðanlegu prófi. Um er að ræða tveggja ára tilraunaverkefni sem byggir á þingsályktun um aðgerðaráætlun í málefnum íslenskrar tungu 2023-2026 og er styrkt er af mennta- og barnamálaráðuneytinu. The following programmes will be presented:

• Academic Icelandic (B2)
• BA in Icelandic as a Second Language (C1)

From 27 April to 4 May, an introduction to the study programmes in Icelandic as a Second Language at the Faculty of Icelandic and Comparative Cultural Studies, University of Iceland, will take place. Ten information sessions will be held, and you may register for one or more of them. All sessions will be conducted via Microsoft Teams (online), except for two. Sessions held during working hours will last approximately 30–35 minutes including questions, while those held outside regular working hours will last about 45 minutes including questions. The presentations will be in Icelandic and English.
