Accademia Gustav Mahler Akademie Every year the Mahler Academy conducts master classes for advanced young musicians from all over Europe.

The "Gustav Mahler - Music and Youth" Academy was founded in 1999 at the initiative of Maestro Claudio Abbado and is the result of long years of close collaboration between the city of Bolzano and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Every year the Academy conducts master classes for advanced young musicians from all over Europe, which represent a continuation of the working periods of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.

This September, the Mahler Academy Orchestra takes its originalklang project on the road: the 2026 Tour begins on 4 September in Bolzano and closes on 18 September at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, with stops at the Stresa Festival, BBC Proms, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Vienna's Konzerthaus and more along the way.

Il Palazzo Mercantile di Bolzano, con i suoi affreschi, il fascino barocco e il suggestivo cortile interno, è tra le sedi più evocative del festival. Qui la musica da camera trova la sua cornice ideale: intima, raffinata e in dialogo con la storia.

Quest’anno, tra gli altri concerti, ha ospitato la maratona cameristica Baltic Connections dei giovani talenti della Gustav Mahler Academy, regalando momenti di pura bellezza.

🇩🇪 Das Merkantilgebäude in Bozen, mit seinen Fresken, dem barocken Charme und dem stimmungsvollen Innenhof, ist eine der eindrucksvollen Spielstätten des Festivals. Hier findet Kammermusik ihren idealen Rahmen: intim, fein und im Dialog mit der Geschichte.
