🏏🌍 What a day at the Commonwealth Cricket Cup!
We are proud to celebrate our first participation in the Commonwealth Cricket Cup in Rome, where our team achieved an amazing 3rd place! 🥉
But the best result of the day went far beyond the final ranking.
Cricket brought together people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. We played, competed, laughed, shared food and spent time together, experiencing exactly what sport should be about: friendship, inclusion, community and connection. ❤️
For International Students Crew, this is the most important victory.
What started as an opportunity to bring some of our international students together around cricket became a wonderful experience of sociality and cultural exchange.
A special thank you to Rotary Club Rome International, with whom we collaborated to bring this team together and make this experience possible, and to Edward Mura, Chairman of the Commonwealth Club of Rome, for the invitation, the warm welcome and his enthusiasm in bringing people together through cricket.
Thank you also to all the organisers, teams and participants who shared this special day with us, both on and off the field.
And, of course, a huge congratulations to our players, who represented our community with enthusiasm, team spirit and friendship. 💪🌍
🥉 Third place on the field.
🤝 New friendships off the field.
🌍 One international community brought together by sport.
