Educational visit to Tenuta Volpara together with third-year GAP students, Veterinary Medicine students, and postgraduate veterinary trainees, accompanied by Prof. Alessandro Vastolo, professor of the Feed Management course.
During the day, we had the opportunity to visit the farm and closely observe some innovative technologies applied to Precision Livestock Farming. In particular, we were shown an automatic robot designed to push feed closer to the feeding area, improving feed management efficiency, and NIR technology, used for monitoring and analyzing feed quality.
The visit was an important learning experience to better understand how technological innovation, farm management, and animal welfare can be effectively integrated within a modern livestock farming system🐃

Our students from the GAP and PLF degree programs recently completed an intensive 3-day technical visit through Puglia . Guided by professors from UNINA and UNIBA, this journey offered a firsthand look at the future of animal production.
From the sustainable breeding of the Podolic cattle and Martina Franca donkey to high-tech industrial pig farming and aquaculture (Atlantic croaker), we explored the balance between organic systems and industrial efficiency.
It was an incredible opportunity to bridge the gap between historical heritage and technological innovation. A huge thank you to the University of Bari for the hospitality and to all the technicians who shared their expertise with our future livestock experts!

Yesterday, the second-year PLF students took part in an educational visit at Masseria Cilentana with Dr. Paola Vitiello and at Tenuta Vannulo with Dr. Giuseppina Di Filippo.
It was a useful and interesting day, made even more educational thanks to the availability and professionalism of the doctors who guided us throughout the visit.

The second-year students of Precision Livestock Farming carried out a practical activity focused on parasitological diagnosis!
We performed f***l sampling and evaluated the parasitological management of lambs, deepening our understanding of animal health and precision strategies in parasite control.
