𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: sensor installations and data collection underway in Tunny Net Pilot Zone!
🌐 We are excited to share a new step in the journey of the BLUE DROP project! WES TRADE has successfully completed the initial installations of state-of-the-art sensors in collaboration with our esteemed partners MCAST and UKE Università Kore Enna - pagina ufficiale in the first Pilot Zone chosen with Water Services Corporation being Tunny Net in the north of Malta.
🛠️ State-of-the-art sensors have been placed in some specific water distribution network checkpoints in the selected pilot area, marking a pivotal moment in our mission to 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. Sensors are now actively monitoring selected points in the urban water distribution network. This critical step allows us to collect real-time data, providing valuable information on water distribution pressure transients, consumption patterns, and water meter performance.
📊 Through this meticulous analysis, 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣 aims to identify and address the root causes of apparent water loss more effectively. “Our next exciting phase involves using artificial intelligence (AI) prediction models to process and interpret the collected data,“ says Milos Bogdanovic Technical Manager at WES TRADE “this advanced software will play a crucial role in refining our understanding and improving the efficiency of apparent water loss reduction strategies”.
🔗From the University of Enna guest in Malta in the WEST company, for the project, PhD Student Fabrizio Traina, who says "I am truly excited to live this fantastic experience with Wes Trade and with MCAST University. This involvement is allowing me to acquire new skills and advance the goals of my doctoral project."
🖇Thank you to the Maltese Water Service Corporation, MCAST, KORE University of Enna, and all stakeholders involved for their support and collaboration in making 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣 a beacon of 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿.
🙏Special thanks to Malta Enterprise for their continued support, pushing us forward in our quest for innovative solutions for the sector.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to progress in our mission to create a more sustainable and efficient urban water infrastructure!
