Barbara Saracino ha portato al panel "Reimagining climate feeling, eco-anxiety, and care toward planetary futures: What is the role of STS?" i risultati conclusivi del nostro progetto di ricerca sulla percezione e la comunicazione del rischio idraulico in Italia, con l'intervento "Living with floods in Italy: Climate affects, risk communication and the co-production of knowledge in an unstable planet".

A river bursting its banks is never just a hydraulic event. It is fear, it is memory, it is the question of who we can trust when a weather warning is issued.
At present, researchers from around the world are gathering in Krakรณw (Poland) for to explore how science and technology intertwine with our daily lives on a changing planet.
Barbara Saracino presented the final findings of our research project on the perception and communication of flood risk in Italy at the panel โReimagining climate feeling, eco-anxiety, and care towards planetary futures: What is the role of STS?โ, with her presentation โLiving with floods in Italy: Climate impacts, risk communication and the co-production of knowledge on an unstable planetโ.
How do Italian citizens experience climate change? What role do institutions play in the way we receive, interpret and share information about risk? And what responsibility does science have in co-constructing, together with local communities, knowledge that will stand the test of time?
A heartfelt thank you to Angela Marques Filipe (Durham University), the panelโs convenor, for creating such a rich and necessary space for discussion.
