Every great teacher has a Plan B.
A lesson plan can tell you where you want the class to go. Great teaching also means knowing what to do when the plan takes an unexpected turn.
An activity that looked perfect on paper might leave learners disengaged. An explanation may need a completely different approach. A discussion can take longer than expected, or a class may need more support than you planned for.
That is where Plan B becomes more than a backup. It becomes a teacher’s ability to observe, adapt, make decisions, and keep learning moving forward.
The classroom rarely follows a perfect script. The real skill lies in staying calm, reading the room, and responding to what learners need in the moment. 🎯
Teaching is not about controlling every moment. It is about being prepared for the moments you cannot control.
