Social activities aren’t just a break from studying — they’re part of the learning process.

You can learn a new word in class, but the real challenge begins when you use it during a walk, a trip, a conversation, or an aperitivo with new friends.

That’s when Italian stops being something you study and becomes something you live.

Because sometimes the best lesson happens when you’re not sitting in a classroom.

One-to-One lessons are all about your goals.

Whether you’re preparing for an interview, university, a certification, or simply need to improve a specific area of your Italian, individual lessons allow you to focus on what really matters to you.

No generic path. No unnecessary detours. Just targeted practice, personalized feedback, and a learning experience built around your needs.

Because the best way to learn is to work on what brings you closer to your goal.

Learning a language takes more than hours. It takes time, continuity and real experience.

At first, you understand a little more. Then you start answering. Slowly, sentences begin to come naturally, until one day you realise you’re no longer translating everything in your head.

That’s what a semester or a year of studying Italian can give you: the time to turn knowledge into something instinctive.

Lessons, corrections, routines, conversations, people, and the city itself all become part of the process.

Because when you truly immerse yourself in a language, Italian stops being something you study. It becomes something you live.

What’s the real difference between studying Italian alone and studying at an Academy? Feedback.

You can practice the same sentence again and again, but without someone listening, correcting, and guiding you, it’s easy to repeat the same mistakes.

In class, feedback happens in real time. You speak, you make mistakes, you try again — and every correction becomes part of the learning process.

Because making mistakes isn’t the problem. Staying stuck is.

Not understanding every word does not mean you are failing. It means you are using the language in real life.

When your mind goes blank, you do not need a perfect sentence. You only need one simple phrase to keep the conversation moving:

“Può ripetere?”
“Più piano, per favore.”
“Non ho capito.”
“Cosa vuol dire?”

Asking someone to repeat, slow down or explain something is not a sign of weakness. It is a communication skill — and an important part of learning Italian.

Real confidence is not understanding everything immediately. It is knowing how to ask for clarification and staying in the conversation.

What is Survival Italian?
It’s the Italian you need when real life doesn’t wait for you to become fluent.

Ordering at a restaurant, asking for directions, shopping, understanding a quick answer, or simply finding the right words when you need them most.

You don’t need perfect Italian to start living in Italy. You need enough Italian to face everyday situations with confidence.

Fluency comes later. Survival comes first.

And every small conversation is one step closer to feeling at home.

Where you live can shape the way you learn Italian.

Staying with a host family means experiencing the language and culture every day: conversations, habits, expressions, and those little details you won’t always find in a textbook.

Choosing a residence or an apartment gives you more independence and the freedom to build your own routine.

There’s no perfect choice. There’s only the choice that works best for your goals, your lifestyle, and your Italian journey.

Your first phone call in Italian can feel like a test you did not study for.

There is no face to read, no gesture to help you, and no time to translate every word in your head. Just fast Italian coming through the phone.

The trick is not to understand everything. Focus on the key information: the name, the time, the place and the problem. Then keep the conversation going with simple phrases such as “Può ripetere?” and “Più piano, per favore.”

You do not need perfect Italian to handle a phone call. You need enough Italian to stay present, ask for help and respond.

Every call makes the next one easier.

In class, you learn the language. Outside, you start using it.
