The energy transition is not a distant prospect: it is happening now, reshaping industries, supply chains, and the way companies do business across Italy, Europe, and the world. For Tuscany, it represents both a challenge and a defining opportunity.
At today's event, leading companies operating in the region: including GSK's facility in Rosia, shared how they are navigating this shift: through investment in technological innovation, organisational development, and a commitment to sustainability that goes hand in hand with competitiveness. Deep integration with the local territory remains at the heart of their approach.
The transition is happening. Tuscany is leading it.

Every year, Ambrosetti and Invest in Tuscany bring together a large community of Tuscan companies and institutions to take stock of the regional economy, and to shape the industrial policy agenda for the years ahead.
This year's picture is encouraging. 71% of the indicators analysed show growth compared to the pre-pandemic period, with exports standing out as a particular strength: Tuscany ranked as Italy's top region for export growth in 2025. A positive labour market and increasing investment attraction complete a compelling overall picture.
Yet ambition means looking beyond the results. The industrial sector, demographic dynamics, and skills development remain areas that call for focused action, and that is precisely what this community exists to address.
Strong foundations. Bigger ambitions.

The generational gap in global business is a real challenge, and Tuscany has chosen to address it with data, dialogue, and concrete practice.
At Florence's Innovation Center, institutions, young professionals, and multinational companies discussed the findings of an international survey by Kilpatrick Executive involving 1,300+ professionals across 70 countries: 80% of companies find it harder to retain Gen Z talent, with the sharpest divides around work approach, leadership style, and communication.
"Companies that embrace generational diversity become stronger, more innovative, and better equipped to face global challenges" states Bernard Dika, Undersecretary to the Presidency of Regione Toscana. Tuscany is establishing itself as a pioneer in multigenerational talent management.

What does it take to attract investment in today's world? According to the voices gathered in Florence, three things stand out: energy, infrastructure, and simplification. But behind the agenda lies a deeper ambition, a stronger alliance between industry, SMEs, and institutions, capable of navigating complexity and turning it into opportunity. With regions like Catalonia as a benchmark, Tuscany is defining its own model for the future.

TECHA and Elaboranet, two Tuscany-based companies with growing international reach, are leading the AI-LABS project — a bold push to bring European-built AI into the laboratory market, across Italy and beyond.
The goal? To digitalize laboratory services through cutting-edge technology developed within Europe, offering a homegrown alternative in a sector long driven by American and non-European solutions.
A small company with a big vision — proving that innovation doesn't need to cross the Atlantic to be world-class.
