The FUA Cinque Terre Program kicked off the new semester by celebrating our La Spezia students with a classic Welcome Aperitivo at the beautiful Toa degli Aranci. There is truly no better way to break the ice and start a new chapter than over great food, clinking glasses, and an evening of getting to know one another!

Here is to a semester full of unforgettable adventures and new lifelong friendships!

As our summer program winds down here in Florence, it is time for the final Takeover Tuesday of the season!

Meet Alana Turoff and Natelli Herrera, two University of Missouri Journalism-Strategic Communication students wrapping up their time studying abroad in Florence. Both hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Alana was drawn to Florence to immerse herself in Italian culture and challenge herself in a new environment (fun fact: her favorite animal is a seal! 🦭). Natelli, who loves Pilates, baking, and spending time outdoors, has cherished connecting with new people and seeing the world from fresh perspectives throughout her travels.

We are excited to have them take over and share a look back at their incredible summer so far here in Florence!

In this week's Finding Florence Friday Feature, spring semester study abroad student Laurel Swanz shares the story of how a broken leg just days into her semester forced her to let go of the study abroad experience she had planned, and embrace one she never expected.
