Measuring what matters means educating future professionals and researchers to build more transparent, accountable and sustainable organisations.

The Department of Social Sciences of the University of Foggia was proud to host the 29th EMAN EU Conference, "Measuring What Matters: The Future of Sustainability Management Accounting", held in the inspiring setting of Vieste from 24 to 26 June 2026.

The conference brought together scholars, PhD researchers and practitioners from all over the world, creating a living academic ecosystem for engaging with current debates on sustainability management accounting, ESG measurement and corporate accountability.

The participation of international speakers and institutions enriched the scientific value of the event and strengthened the role of the university as a platform for dialogue among academia, institutions, society and the international community, in line with its commitment to sustainability, internationalisation and third mission.

Sincere thanks to Proff. Elisabetta Mafrolla, Antonio Corvino, Karen Maas, all organisers, coordinators, speakers and participants for contributing to such a meaningful scientific and human experience.

The Department of Social Sciences (DISS) at the University of Foggia is pleased to report the successful conclusion of the first workshop for the KA220 Erasmus+ Project INSPIRE "Innovate4Future to Shape Industry 4.0 Entrepreneurs Through Tailored Learning Toolkit". Held from 23 to 30 June 2026, this intensive programme took place in Vieste, serving as a vital link between academic innovation and territorial engagement.

The project, which will continue with subsequent workshops in Lithuania, Greece, and Turkey, is a collaborative effort between the University of Foggia (Italy), Kazimiero Simonavičiaus Universitetas (Lithuania), Diethnes Panepistimio Ellados (Greece), Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, and Türk Hava Kurumu University (Turkey).

The pedagogical framework of the workshop was designed to provide a comprehensive immersion into the contemporary entrepreneurial landscape. The curriculum addressed the following critical areas of study:
• Foundations of Entrepreneurship and Finance
• Strategic Modelling and Product Development
• Innovation and Narrative
• Marketing and Strategic Tools
• Technology and Industry 4.0
• Leadership, Ethics, and Inclusive Practice
• Legal Frameworks and Company Establishment
