Onirico is a split album featuring a curated selection of tracks by two longstanding producers from the Italian melodic IDM scene: Hypnosis & Coffee and Seven Nights Alone. Hypnosis & Coffee (an alias of Vincent Steiner, with Mario Zweiner, Dungeon Druid, Quasar Explorer, Oregon Vortex, among its key figures) boasts an extensive official and unreleased discography. Under the name Rats, he released music on Wandering Eye, the label run by Panoram. Seven Nights Alone (an alias of Useless Idea) has released works on cult labels such as the Belgian WeMe and the Canadian Suction Records. With the same approach, he has released music in different genres under other names such as: Dual, Nathan Meyem, Aliasing, 7NA, USE, Skinny Guy, Badstep, and Another Name.

In addition to their prolific output and their ability to release music under different aliases, what brings these two producers together is a long-standing virtual friendship that began online, along with shared interests that go beyond music, including esotericism, art, film, and science fiction literature.

The album presents itself as a soundtrack-like sequence of alternating tracks. It does not follow the typical split format divided into two separate sections; instead, the tracks flow one into another. Although each artist has a clearly defined sonic identity, the pieces blur into a unified sound that takes shape as a single listening experience. The record thus unfolds as an imaginative, cinematic soundtrack.

In terms of genre, the album expresses a passion for a particular sound characterized by downtempo rhythms, instrumental hip-hop, and ambient melodies, along with a fascination for lo-fi textures, cassette and vinyl hiss, and a natural inclination toward uncovering hidden details buried in the dust.

Hypnosis & Coffee has been recognized since his early releases on EVES for his psychedelic ambient sound, with hints of post-jazz reminiscent of artists such as Sun Ra. He is also known for the many artistic monikers featured on his Bandcamp profile (zweiner.bandcamp.com), where instrumental sampling and references drawn from vintage films enrich his deep knowledge of and influence within the genre.

With a similarly outsider attitude, Seven Nights Alone approaches downtempo, the style is marked by influences from 1970s New Age culture as well as post-rock.
The project, still largely unreleased, made its debut on Canada’s Suction Records in 2022. His sound is a multilayered blend of subgenres yet to be fully defined. It originated as an archival folder where tracks sharing a similar attitude were catalogued; many of these pieces stem from recording sessions conducted across different years and formats, most of them sourced from old cassette tapes.

Despite their differences, both productions are bound together by similar atmospheres that carry a dreamlike quality, that unfold within a warm sonic landscape of ambient melodies and hip-hop rhythms, revealing a dreamy gaze cast upon a world that seems increasingly cold and gray.

After debuting on WeMe Records with the EP *D.I.Y.* and *Green Machine*, released by New Interplanetary Melodies, Co-Pilot returns with a new album that solidifies the maturity gained through a personal exploration of hybrid territories between electronic music and rock attitude. For those unfamiliar with the distinctive sound of this artist, it’s important to know that Co-Pilot originates from a live drumming background, but continues to evolve, constantly nourished by the blend of electronic elements that gives the rhythmic and persuasive sound a personality beyond any genre classification. Of course, it’s hard to use such terms today to describe something in a world where everything seems to have already been done; however, Co-Pilot sounds like Co-Pilot.

The tracks on the EP are a revelation, merging the experiences from his debut and going far beyond them. One can feel the live energy of the drummer, where intricate real drum rhythms blend with electronics, maintaining a unique language of sounds and genre boundaries, constantly merging and diverging in an organic yet distinctive sound. In this music, we can truly sense that everything we hear is played by a person. Co-Pilot humanizes electronics while simultaneously elevating its form through the abstraction of structures.

As Co-Pilot says: "Jaguaro takes its name from a sign inside the Urban, a historic club in Perugia, one of the few Italian venues that, according to Co-Pilot, still authentically embodies club culture. The concept of the EP is a tribute to clubbing, a subculture that, in some ways, is disappearing from its original form. The EP ends with a field recording from the bathrooms of Berlin’s Berghain Club, the epitome of global clubbing."

Unlike his previous releases, *Jaguaro* stands out with a more inspired form, returning to the roots of *D.I.Y.*, but with a more complete and confident approach, where everything finds its place. Unlike *Green Machine*, which explored more folkloric and psychedelic folk-inspired territories, this album pays tribute to club culture, in a crossover that nods to post-punk and art rock. The album was mixed by Alex Sciamannini and mastered by Cesare Bignotti / EVES and Giorgio Barrocu, to deliver an authentic sound that highlights the electronic aspect, particularly the rhythm and bass, subtly hinting at its dancefloor context, while preserving the genuine energy that defines this remarkable project’s sound.

New Dual release.

Dual is a project of contemporary fieldrecoding music.

The live was recorded to 09 September 2019,
at the Domusnovas.

The live is sequel of the album Ca​.​Net_is, recorded and produced from 1 to 10 September 2019, at the artistic residence LXL, San Sperate - Sardinia, Italy.

Part of the tracklist is made up of unreleased tracks, performed exclusively live, alternating with some tracks present on the album Ca​.​Net_is: evesmusic.bandcamp.com/album/ca-net-is

The theme of the album is focused on the creation of rural techno music, composed through environmental sounds, acoustic effects recorded in real environments, rhythmic percussions of wood and metal, and the use of sound stone sculptures by the Sardinian artist, Pinuccio Sciola.

The main elements that distinguish the concept are: the contrast between the real and virtual environment, past and future, the union of electronic music with tribalism in search of an otherworldly experience; these concepts have merged with the initiatory path of the Rave Culture, where physical and material abandonment takes place through a collective trance, to live a new experience.

Dual is a group made up of Cesare Bignotti aka Useless Idea and Giorgio Barroccu, since 2012 carries on a series of performative projects of sound installations on specific and extemporaneous themes on the subject of change; reality is re-configured through sound recording and manipulation, creating a new soundscape, composed of real information but reinterpreted in an abstract and dystopian way, through music.

Each performance is documented and preserved through the publication of a record.

Hypnosis & Coffee is one of the many aliases of Vincenzo Pacilli, a producer from Salerno with a unique creativity and style, for over 20 years Vincenzo has been making electronic music with a mashup that combines urban sounds such as Downtempo and instrumental hip-hop, with ambient, electro and techno, a varied musical ecosystem that remains united with a psychedelic sound a la Sun Ra, and a soundtrack aesthetic that refers directly to the cinema of the 70s / 80s.

Spores vol. 2, sequel to Spores (released by EVES in 2022), is also a collection of short songs, produced in the early 2000s, a music made of home studio moments and intimacies, which takes the listener on a sonic journey, inspired by the visionary cinema by authors such as Roman Polański and David Lynch, but wearing the clothes of sound ghetto artists as Madlib and Mf Doom.
