We are an interdisciplinary group working to advance scientific understanding of a wide range of fields, from atmospheric, ocean and coastal dynamics to the development of coastal engineering solutions for a sustainable management of natural systems in a changing climate.

Our team members, Giovanni Besio and Francesco De Leo, alongside researchers from Università di Trento went to to install a water level gauge and perform field measurements for the characterization of the lagoon dynamics to promote a sustainable use of its resources.

Our Costa Rican ambassador Manuel Corrales-Gonzalez has been awarded the BECS (Blue Energy Collaborative Scholarships) funds sponsored by OES (Ocean Energy Systems) through INORE organization. These funds are intended to cover expenses related to research on renewable marine energy. Manuel will use this award to present the study entitled "Estimation of wave power and its potential exploitation along the Pacific coast of Central America" supervised by professor Dr. Giovanni Besio from Universìtà degli studi di Genova, and Professor Dr. George Lavidas from the TU Delft.
