👋🏻 I'm Ilias and I was a student in the second edition of the Master of Arts in Accessibility to Media, Arts and Culture.
🌟I think that AMAC is a great programme. It has significantly broadened my understanding of the pivotal role that accessibility and inclusion play within the field of culture.
💡The Master's programme, characterized by its interdisciplinary nature, enables students to explore various areas of media accessibility, such as subtitling for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, audio description, respeaking, and easy-to-read language.
Concurrently, it provides a strong theoretical foundation rooted in Disability Studies, which is crucial for professionals working in this field.
👨🏻💻 Also, the programme emphasizes practical learning, seamlessly integrating theory with hands-on practice during the lessons. All the professors are distinguished scholars in their respective areas of expertise and are committed to helping the students and answering any questions they might have.
🚀 Moreover, one of the key advantages of AMAC is the work placement. This feature allows students to gain valuable industry experience prior to graduation, and in my case, I believe it has contributed to my successful integration into the job market.
