FUORI DAL GREGGE
Book presentation by its author, Massimiliano Magrini.
Wednesday, dec.19th. at 5.00 pm, room G0.4

The Republic of Venice and Silicon Valley, Leonardo da Vinci and Steve Jobs, the role of the State in the construction of Digital Ecosystems: China, Europe, United States and Israel. The nature of startups and the dialectic with big business, the digital revolution and its consequences. The role of venture capital and inclusive and merit-based organisations and systems.

Massimiliano Magrini has written about this to share his thoughts with colleagues and friends and with all growth, development and innovation’s enthusiasts. Allowing a society to exploit its full potential - of knowledge, merit and talent - and transform it into economic and social growth, enhancing the entrepreneurial spirit, is the condition of every true and accomplished democracy. Every society that deliberately chooses not to go ahead in this effort is doomed to regress.

The event is part of the Design management Course, MA Interior Design and MA Product Design, led by Massimo Pettiti and Bel Barreiros.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENTS AND IN STEMS
Two special guests for a special lecture at the course of Design Management. Wednesday, Dec.12th, room E1.1

Giulia Trincardi – editor at Motherboard, VICE magazine; she mainly deals with the dialogue between technological revolutions and culture.

Lisa Di Sevo – tech enthusiastic and startups godmother; partner and investor manager for Prana Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm; chairman of SheTech, non-profit organization focused on the education and engagement of women in the technology industry. “Done is better than perfect” is her mantra.

"You've all heard the plea for more women in tech, but have you ever wondered why you should be a change agent in order to make the industry more open to women, and more diverse in general?"
