Cinema isn’t taught through theory alone. It is passed down through direct conversation and shared experience.

We bring industry leaders into our spaces to expose students directly to the real mechanics of the craft. From narrative tension to honest dialogue, these moments bridge ambition with reality.

A look back at some of the voices who joined us at IED Milano during the last academic year.

Who shapes the future of creative industries?
Not only those who create new forms, but also those who understand how ideas move through society. From culture to communication, from fashion to design, every project requires the ability to connect creativity, strategy and impact.

The BA in Marketing and Management for Creative Industries explores the processes behind the development of cultural and creative projects.

Every constraint is an invitation to rethink how space can behave. Working within the existing architecture of the Sanlorenzo Explorer 460 yacht, students investigated how layouts, furnishings and details can redefine the experience of life at sea, not by starting over, but by transforming what already exists.

BA in Interior Design thesis projects developed in collaboration with Sanlorenzo.

The future of marine mobility depends on how technology, space and the environment learn to work together. Through speculative design, students imagined new concepts for luxury maxi-ribs and tenders where sustainability and experience become part of the same system.

”Waves of Change” is a BA thesis project in Product Design developed in collaboration with SACS Tecnorib.

Places become meaningful when people can recognise themselves in their stories. Students explored how branding can translate landscapes, traditions and local culture into a coherent identity, one capable of making a territory memorable before it's even visited.

For their BA thesis projects in Interior Design and Communication Design, students developed a destination branding proposal for Le Fattorie di Matilde, in collaboration with technical partner .

A service is not defined by what it offers, but by how people experience it. Every interaction reveals expectations, needs and points of friction. Designing better experiences means understanding behaviours and transforming complexity into clearer, more meaningful journeys.

For the Next-Gen Growth challenge with Sky, students from the Master’s Program in User Experience Design explored new ways to rethink the TV + WiFi experience and make it more relevant for emerging audiences.

The way we look at the world shapes the stories we tell about it. Through film, Gabriele Marchetti explored how creativity and self-expression can shift perception, revealing new ways for young people to imagine, and design, their future.

”Through Their Eyes” is a film created as a BA thesis project in Fashion Stylist.

The future is not a prediction, it’s a conversation.

Predicting what comes next is impossible. The role of a futurist is to observe what is already changing, connect different signals and help organisations imagine possible directions.

Working with brands such as Google, Netflix, Ford and YouTube, Clarice Garcia explores how cultural shifts can become meaningful strategies for the future.

From visionary designers to artists, founders and creative leaders, this year IED Milano became a place for conversations that sparked ideas, challenged perspectives and inspired new ways of thinking.

And we're just getting started. Stay tuned: next year will bring even more voices, stories and unexpected encounters.
