Light is such a simple yet abstract concept.
While we all agree that light is nothing but electromagnetic radiation detected by the human eye, not even the dictionary agrees on a single definition.
Light is what makes vision possible. It is emotion. It is spiritual illumination.
Light has long been a symbol of good in the world. It embodies the fight of good vs evil (light vs darkness). It is said to be the source of life.
It is guidance, both physical while lost in the dark and spiritual when looking for a new path. It is rebirth and generation. It is a symbol of self-amelioration.
It is excellence. It is simplicity and laughs. It is information and clarity.

As our speakers walk us through such a multifaceted concept, we are guided as by a lighthouse to look for our inner light.

Con grande entusiasmo experimentadesign Portugal annuncia il lancio della open call per il progetto MUSA!

É com prazer que anunciamos o lançamento da open call para candidaturas para Quartetos de Cordas para a segunda parte do programa MUSA, a decorrer em Mafra e Lisboa entre 24 e 31 de Outubro 2021. Esta segunda fase, comissariada pela experimentadesign, é composta por uma residência artística num monumento classificado como Património Mundial da Humanidade pela UNESCO e num museu contemporâneo de renome internacional, incluindo workshops profissionais sobre a interdisciplinaridade entre a música, arte, arquitectura e design, assim como a oportunidade de tocar em locais de excepção.

We are happy to announce the open call for applications from String Quartets for the second part of the MUSA programme, which will take place in Mafra and Lisbon between 24 and 31 October 2021. This second phase brings the programme to Portugal and is curated by experimentadesign. It Involves an artistic residency in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a world-renowned museum, including professional workshops focussed on cross-fertilization between music, art, design and architecture, as well as a unique opportunity to perform in breathtaking locations. ⁠

Let us introduce the Momentum Strykekvartett which will take part in MUSA activities in Italy very soon 🎻 The Momentum Quartet is a string quartet formed in 2019. They are a close knit group whose young members come from Norway. Their goal is to always be present in the moment when they play music, and therefore they called themselves “Momentum String Quartet”.

The four String Quartets that will take part in the first week of MUSA activities in Italy have been selected. Let us introduce them to you:
Ãtma Quartet from Poland
Belinfante Quartet based in the Netherlands
Momentum Strykekvartett from Norway
Selini Quartet based in Austria

The musicians will join a one-week workshop, during which they work on their image strategies with professional lecturers, photographers, video makers and stylists.

We are extremely excited to meet all our international partners of the MUSA - European young MUsicians soft Skills Alliance project 💫 From November 2nd to November 4th, we will meet online to discuss all the details concerning our 2-year project that last July 2020 won the Erasmus+ Call as a Strategic Partnership to support innovation 🇪🇺
Thanks to MUSA, we will help young musicians develop key skills and in particular the attitude to entrepreneurship.
