The OC of SELS Modena&Reggio Emilia on Food Law regrets to inform you that the third edition of this event had to be cancelled due to the emergency situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the extraordinary measures adopted by several countries, including Italy.
It was a tough call to make, but we understood that “organizing” means first of all ensuring health and safety of both the participants and the members of the OC, and this condition could not be guaranteed in the difficult situation we are all dealing with.
In addition, the extraordinary mesures taken by Italian Government in order to contain the spread of the virus and the new measures that the Government is supposed to adopt for the next months exclude the possibility of gatherings of people, impose social distancing and cause us to doubt that free travels to and from Italy will be allowed during this summer.
Few days after our decision, ELSA International announced that the whole Summer ELSA Law Schools 2020 Cycle would be cancelled, on the basis of the same considerations stated above.
In the light of this situation, we want to thank who placed his trust in our work and who worked along with us in the organization of this event and we promise that we will work even harder for the next edition of the Summer ELSA Law School on Food Law. We look forward to welcome you here in Modena for our academic, cultural and social programme, the food, the beauty of this city, our energy and our warmth that every year shape the experience of our participants.
