Si comunica che lunedì 20 aprile, alle ore 17:00, presso l'Aula Magna del Dipartimento Culture e Società (Campus viale delle Scienze, Ed. 15) si terrà l'inaugurazione della "Cattedra euromediterranea in Culture della traduzione", con una Lectio inauguralis del prof. Alexis Nuselovici della Aix-Marseille Université, visiting fellow del centro A.S.CENT. dell’Università degli Studi di Palermo.

Il prof. Nuselovici terrà inoltre un ciclo intensivo di seminari dal titolo “Translation as Cultural Resistance” rivolto a studenti, dottorandi e studiosi dal 21 aprile al 14 maggio 2026.

👩‍🏫 Anna Bellavitis, Full Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Rouen.

🎓 After earning her Laurea at the University of Bologna, she completed a PhD in History at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris) and obtained her Habilitation at the University of Lyon2.

📚 A specialist in women’s and gender history, labour history, and early modern urban history, she has led numerous international research projects in collaboration with European universities. She is currently Principal Investigator of the ANR-funded project DÉFI – Gender and Agency in Venice, Florence, Naples, Palermo (2024–2028).

👨‍🏫 Francesco Cappello, Full Professor of Histology at the University of Palermo, Italy.
Francesco Cappello

🔬 His research focuses on cell differentiation, tissue homeostasis, and organ remodeling under physiological and pathological conditions. His experimental models include stress, physical exercise, and carcinogenesis.

🧬 Together with Alberto JL Macario and Everly Conway de Macario, he contributed to the development of the concept of chaperonopathy, now widely recognized in major international textbooks of Pathological Anatomy and General Pathology.

👨‍🏫 Francisco Rodrigues Rocha, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon (Universidade de Lisboa), where he earned his LL.B. (2010), LL.M. in Insurance Law (2014), and Ph.D. in Roman Law (2021).

Since 2012, he has been teaching across various legal disciplines, including Roman Law, History of Portuguese Law, Maritime Law, Insurance Law, and Commercial Law.

Before moving into public policy research, he contributed to the development of quantum computers at IQOQI – Austrian Academy of Sciences and worked on statistical designs for computer experiments.
