Celebrating Europe, dialogue, and the next generation of European leaders 🇪🇺

On Monday, May 11, students of the Master in European Studies presented and discussed their project work at the Palazzo del Governatore in Parma, sharing ideas and perspectives on the future of Europe. ⭐️

The event then featured a keynote institutional session with H.E. Martin Selmayr, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the European Union to the Holy See, the Sovereign Order of Malta, the UN Organisations in Rome and the Republic of San Marino, and Chiara Zilioli, Director General of Legal Services at the European Central Bank.

The occasion also marked the celebration of Europe Day, officially commemorated on May 9, reaffirming the importance of European values, cooperation, and active citizenship.🌍

🇪🇺 Did you know that Parma is home to a European agency?

Every year, our students have the opportunity to visit the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which is responsible for protecting consumers through independent scientific advice on food safety, nutrition, and food chain risks 🌍🍏

Since 2003, EFSA has been a key institution in safeguarding food safety across Europe 🔬

This annual visit is much more than an educational experience: it is a real opportunity for students to meet professionals, discover internship opportunities, and get closer to the world of European institutions 🤝✨

A heartfelt thank you to EFSA for welcoming our students every year and for continuing to invest in young people — the leaders of tomorrow 💙

The third day in Brussels gave our students another opportunity to experience the European Union from the inside. 🇪🇺✨

From the European Commission to the Council of the European Union, they explored how EU institutions work together and gained firsthand insight into European policymaking. 🏛️📚

Meeting Nada Alkhayat, alumna of the European College of Parma and now working at DG Health and Food Safety, was a particularly inspiring moment, showing how academic paths can lead to careers at the heart of Europe. 🌍

The day ended with an alumni gathering, strengthening the connection between current students and former students now working in the EU environment. 🤝✨

Another inspiring day in Brussels, bringing our students closer to the future they aspire to shape. 💙

The second day in Brussels marked one of the most meaningful moments of the study visit for our students. 🇪🇺✨

From the presentation of their project at the European Parliament to the meetings at the European External Action Service and the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union, the day offered the students a unique opportunity to engage directly with European institutions and gain deeper insight into how ideas can contribute to real policymaking. 🎤🏛️

An intense and inspiring day that brought them closer to the heart of the European Union and to the future they aspire to shape. 🌍📚

Si è conclusa ieri la VI edizione del Master di II livello in Management degli Enti Locali 🎓
Un traguardo importante che segna la fine di un percorso formativo intenso e ricco di crescita, co-progettato e co-realizzato insieme all’ .it

La giornata di ieri è stata particolarmente significativa: non solo momento conclusivo del Master, ma anche preziosa occasione di incontro, confronto e conoscenza reciproca dopo un anno di didattica svolta online. Un passaggio dal virtuale al reale che ha reso ancora più speciale questo percorso condiviso.

A tutti i partecipanti vanno i migliori auguri per il futuro, con l’auspicio che possano contribuire da protagonisti all’evoluzione della pubblica amministrazione, portando innovazione, spirito di miglioramento continuo ed energia.
Grazie per l’impegno e la dedizione dimostrati lungo tutto il percorso: il valore di questo Master si riflette soprattutto nei risultati e nelle persone che ne fanno parte. 👏
