PRESENTATION:

The School in Structural Geology "G.Pialli" was founded in memory of Giampaolo Pialli (dead in May, 1999), Full Professor for the Degree in Geology at the University of Perugia and international-famous expert in structural geology and geophysics. The aim of the School is to spread the knowledge of most advanced research and applications in Structural Geology, Tectonics and Geodynami

cs, increasing cooperation and sinergy among Italian and foreign researchers, both in the academic and industrial context. The Organizing Committee is composed by the Geology Degree Course's Director and Professors in Geology, Geophysics and Structural Geology, as well as by the Head of the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Perugia. Pialli" operates under the patronage of the Italian Geological Society (SGI) and the Italian Federation of Earth Sciences (FIST).
